Overclocker Achieves New World Record with Intel Core i9-14900KF at 9.13 GHz
The overclocking community has witnessed yet another historic milestone as Chinese overclocker wytiwx has pushed Intel’s Core i9-14900KF to an incredible 9.13 GHz using liquid helium cooling, setting a new world record for CPU frequency.
Breaking the 9.0 GHz Barrier Again
Intel’s Raptor Lake Refresh series has remained one of the most dominant contenders in gaming, productivity, and especially extreme overclocking. The flagship Core i9-14900K, KF, and KS models are well-known for their ability to scale close to or above 9.0 GHz. In January 2025, wytiwx already broke Elmor’s previous 9117.75 MHz record by achieving 9121.61 MHz, and now he has returned with an even higher validated score of 9130.33 MHz across all eight P-Cores.
According to CPU-Z validation and HWBot submissions, the achievement was made possible with extreme cooling—liquid helium—which provides colder and more stable operating conditions than liquid nitrogen. The record was reached at 1.388V core voltage on an ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Apex motherboard, paired with Corsair Vengeance memory.
Wytiwx credited his success to strong support from partners and teammates, thanking Corsair, ROG, Thermal Grizzly, ElmorLabs, and fellow enthusiasts MickaShuBL, Crystalright, and Markjinli.
“Crazy again! Thanks Corsair, ROG, Thermal Grizzly, ElmorLabs and my dear teammates MickaShuBL, Crystalright, Markjinli.”

Intel’s 14th Gen CPUs Still Dominating Enthusiast Records
While Intel’s latest Core Ultra 200S (Arrow Lake) family leads in multi-threaded performance and efficiency, the Raptor Lake and Raptor Lake Refresh CPUs continue to dominate in raw frequency records. Their unlocked multipliers, strong voltage scaling, and compatibility with extreme cooling methods make them a favorite for world-record attempts.
Interestingly, despite Arrow Lake’s release, consumer adoption of 13th and 14th-gen Intel CPUs remains strong, especially in the budget and mid-range categories, where prices have dropped significantly below MSRP. Intel is further driving interest with promotional bundles like Battlefield 6 included with select CPUs during Intel Gamer Days.
With this latest record, wytiwx has solidified Raptor Lake Refresh’s position as a cornerstone in overclocking history, showing that even as newer architectures debut, Intel’s 14th-gen chips are far from being forgotten.
