NVIDIA Bundles CONTROL Resonant With GeForce RTX 5070 and Above as NVIDIA App Gains Major RTX Controls

NVIDIA has launched a new GeForce RTX 50 Series game bundle for Gamescom 2026, giving buyers of selected GeForce RTX 5070 and higher graphics hardware a Steam copy of CONTROL Resonant. According to NVIDIA, the promotion covers qualifying GeForce RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 desktop graphics cards and systems, alongside laptops equipped with the corresponding RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 Laptop GPUs. The promotion began on August 25 and runs through September 29, with codes redeemable until October 27 while supplies last.

CONTROL Resonant launches on September 24 and will become one of NVIDIA's major showcases for the complete DLSS 4.5 graphics stack. Remedy Entertainment's sequel will support path tracing alongside DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction, Super Resolution and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation. NVIDIA says the new Ray Reconstruction model uses a second generation transformer architecture with 35% more compute capability and 20% more parameters while maintaining similar performance to the previous model. The technology is designed to improve lighting accuracy, temporal stability and detail reconstruction in demanding ray traced and path traced scenes.

The bundle therefore carries more strategic weight than simply adding a free game to new GPU purchases. CONTROL Resonant is being positioned as a showcase for the visual capabilities NVIDIA has spent the past year building around Blackwell. Path tracing handles physically based shadows, reflections and global illumination, while Dynamic Multi Frame Generation allows RTX 50 Series GPUs to dynamically adjust generated frame output according to performance conditions and display refresh rate. Earlier coverage of CONTROL Resonant joining NVIDIA's wider DLSS 4.5 push already showed how Remedy's game is becoming one of the most important demonstrations of NVIDIA's latest rendering technology.

NVIDIA is also using Gamescom to significantly expand the NVIDIA App. The latest Early Access update adds DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction overrides, allowing users to enable the newer model globally or on supported games without waiting for every title to receive a dedicated update. Players can select the Ray Reconstruction option through the Graphics section and choose either the recommended setting or Preset F. NVIDIA currently lists 30 compatible games for the override, including Alan Wake 2, Cyberpunk 2077, DOOM: The Dark Ages, Crimson Desert, Hogwarts Legacy, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and Marvel's Spider Man 2. The official release of this NVIDIA App update is scheduled for September.

Resizable BAR control is another significant addition. NVIDIA is introducing individual application controls directly inside Driver Settings, allowing users to enable or disable Resizable BAR for specific games and applications rather than relying only on global configuration. This gives enthusiasts more flexibility when troubleshooting titles where Resizable BAR produces inconsistent performance or when testing different GPU configurations. NVIDIA is also adding Borderless Windowed mode support to its Optimal Playable Settings system.

G SYNC Pulsar users are gaining deeper NVIDIA App integration as well. Pulsar settings can now be adjusted directly through System, Display and G SYNC Pulsar rather than exclusively through the monitor's internal menu. The feature is available through the same Early Access beta and is scheduled for a full release in September. This matters as NVIDIA expands Pulsar into increasingly extreme gaming displays, where motion clarity, refresh behavior and adaptive synchronization are becoming more deeply integrated into the broader GeForce software ecosystem.

Redeeming CONTROL Resonant also happens directly through the NVIDIA App. Buyers must install the qualifying GPU or use the eligible laptop, update the NVIDIA App, enter the supplied promotional code and connect their Steam account. NVIDIA then adds the game directly to the user's Steam library. The company will release a Game Ready Driver before the September 24 launch to prepare supported GeForce systems for the game's path traced graphics and DLSS 4.5 features.

CONTROL Resonant is an ideal bundle title for NVIDIA because Remedy has historically been one of the strongest showcases for new PC graphics technology. The original CONTROL became an early demonstration of what ray tracing could add to modern game lighting, and Resonant appears positioned to repeat that role for path tracing and DLSS 4.5.

The NVIDIA App changes may ultimately have more lasting value than the bundle itself. DLSS overrides, individual Resizable BAR controls and direct G SYNC Pulsar configuration continue moving features that previously required separate menus, driver profiles or monitor controls into one interface. NVIDIA is effectively turning its App into a central configuration layer for the entire GeForce gaming experience, and that software integration is becoming almost as important to the RTX platform as the GPU hardware itself.

If you were upgrading to an RTX 5070 or higher, would CONTROL Resonant make this bundle more attractive, or are the new NVIDIA App controls the more interesting update?
