GIGABYTE AI TOP 100 B850 Brings RTX 5090 and Dual Radeon AI PRO Options to Local AI Desktops

GIGABYTE has introduced the AI TOP 100 B850, a desktop system built for developers, creators, researchers and technical teams running AI workloads locally. Instead of positioning the machine as another premium gaming PC, GIGABYTE is focusing on local LLM development, generative AI, agentic AI, model training, inference, data privacy and reduced cloud dependence.

The system is built around AMD’s AM5 platform and comes in 2 graphics paths. One version uses NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics for broad AI software support and fast interactive inference, while the other uses dual AMD Radeon AI PRO R9700 graphics for larger model workloads that benefit from more graphics memory.

Comparison NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Dual AMD Radeon AI PRO R9700
Model Focus Fast local inference and broad AI software support Larger models and memory focused workloads
GPU Configuration NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Dual AMD Radeon AI PRO R9700
Best Fit Local LLMs, generative AI, creator workflows, agentic AI and CUDA based tools Large model inference, fine tuning, research workloads and higher VRAM requirements
GIGABYTE Performance Claim Up to 64.9 tok/s using Qwen3 32B FP4 Up to 235B inference using Qwen3 235B A22B FP4 and up to 110B fine tuning

The Ryzen 9 9950X gives the AI TOP 100 B850 a strong foundation for preprocessing, development environments, multitasking and creator applications. Support for Windows 11 Pro and Linux also gives users flexibility depending on whether they need a familiar desktop workflow or a more open AI development stack.

GIGABYTE also includes AI TOP Utility, a software layer designed to simplify local AI work with real time monitoring, memory offloading, dataset creation tools, training presets and workflow controls. For users who do not want to assemble every part of the local AI stack manually, that software support may be as important as the hardware itself.

This launch fits naturally into GIGABYTE’s broader AI TOP ecosystem. With the AORUS P1600W Titanium AI TOP power supply, the company has been building hardware around systems that require strong power delivery, reliable cooling and long term platform stability. The AI TOP 100 B850 turns that strategy into a ready to use desktop for users who want powerful local compute without building every component from scratch.

The strongest part of the AI TOP 100 B850 is that GIGABYTE is treating local AI as a dedicated desktop category, not just a gaming PC with a different label. The system combines high end desktop hardware, serious GPU options and dedicated AI software into a package designed around practical ownership rather than cloud dependency.

For studios, researchers and technical teams, that positioning matters. High end desktops are no longer defined only by gaming performance, rendering speed or synthetic benchmarks. They are increasingly being shaped by model size, data control, software ecosystem support and the ability to iterate locally without sending every workload to the cloud.

Would you choose the RTX 5090 model for faster CUDA based workflows, or the dual Radeon AI PRO R9700 model for larger local AI models?
