AMD Ryzen 5 7500 Reportedly Coming to AM5 With Integrated Graphics

AMD is reportedly preparing another Zen 4 desktop processor for the AM5 platform, with a new Ryzen 5 7500 expected to offer 6 cores and 12 threads alongside integrated Radeon graphics. The information comes from hardware leaker Roland Quandt, who claims the Ryzen 5 7500 will feature a 3.7 GHz base clock, boost frequencies up to 5.0 GHz, 38 MB of total cache, and a 65 W TDP. AMD has not officially announced the processor, so its specifications, price, and availability remain unconfirmed.

On paper, those CPU specifications closely match the existing Ryzen 5 7500F. AMD officially lists the Ryzen 5 7500F with 6 Zen 4 cores, 12 threads, a 3.7 GHz base frequency, up to 5.0 GHz boost, 6 MB of L2 cache, 32 MB of L3 cache, and a 65 W TDP.

The expected distinction is integrated graphics. The Ryzen 5 7500F does not provide usable integrated Radeon graphics, while standard Raphael desktop processors such as the Ryzen 5 7600 include a small Radeon graphics engine in the I O die for basic display output and troubleshooting. If the Ryzen 5 7500 follows that standard configuration, integrated graphics would be its main functional advantage over the 7500F.

The Ryzen 5 7600 provides another useful comparison point. It also features 6 Zen 4 cores, 12 threads, and a 65 W TDP, but runs slightly faster with a 3.8 GHz base clock and up to 5.1 GHz boost. That would leave the Ryzen 5 7500 only 100 MHz behind the 7600 on both base and boost frequencies.

The more unusual part of the leak is pricing. Quandt claims the Ryzen 5 7500 could cost around €230. If accurate, that would be difficult to justify based purely on its reported specifications because the processor would sit close to several faster AM5 options in current European pricing.

The €230 figure should therefore be treated cautiously. It could represent early retail pricing, a specific regional listing, or a boxed configuration rather than AMD's final recommended price. No official launch date or regional availability has been disclosed.

The timing is also notable because AMD continues expanding AM5 even as its next generation architecture approaches. AMD has already confirmed that future Zen 6 desktop processors including Olympic Ridge will remain on Socket AM5, extending the platform beyond the Ryzen 7000 and Ryzen 9000 generations. Adding another Zen 4 processor would therefore give AMD another option at the lower end of the AM5 ecosystem while retaining DDR5, PCIe support, and a future upgrade path. Whether the Ryzen 5 7500 achieves that goal will depend heavily on its final street price.

The Ryzen 5 7500 makes sense as a product if AMD positions it below the Ryzen 5 7600. Its reported specifications would provide a straightforward 6 core AM5 option with integrated graphics for builders who want basic display output without relying on a discrete GPU.

The rumored €230 price makes considerably less sense.

With only a 100 MHz gap separating it from the Ryzen 5 7600, the Ryzen 5 7500 would need a meaningful price advantage to establish a clear position in AMD's lineup. At the reported price, its value proposition becomes much harder to understand.
