Wildgate Launches Globally on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC with Major Gameplay Overhaul and New Features
Dreamhaven, the studio founded by ex-Blizzard veterans, has officially launched Wildgate, their team-based sci-fi PvP shooter, now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Blending ship-to-ship combat with fast-paced FPS action, Wildgate offers players a unique, strategic multiplayer experience where coordination is key both aboard vessels and on the battlefield.
To commemorate the launch, Dreamhaven released an official gameplay trailer, giving players a deeper look at the game’s unique mechanics, ship battles, and the Sea of Thieves-inspired exploration elements in a rich sci-fi setting.
Alongside the release, a new developer blog post was published on Steam, detailing extensive patch notes and changes implemented based on community feedback from the recent open beta
Updates include:
New Progression Systems: Players now have access to the Infamy System, Streaks, and Milestones, all designed to reward performance and persistence.
Combat Balance Tweaks: Adjustments to ship health, design, and combat interactions ensure smoother and more competitive gameplay.
Respawn Time Adjustments: Players who die outside of their ship now respawn in 16 seconds, while those who fall within the ship return in 12 seconds, refining pacing and tactical flow.
New Game Mode: While not fully detailed yet, a new mode has been added, expanding playstyles and engagement options.
Weapons and Loot: Fine-tuned stats, new equipment, and loot distribution enhance the tactical shooter elements.
UI and Quality-of-Life Enhancements: Smoothed menus, clearer HUD elements, and several usability improvements have been implemented for a more seamless player experience.
Bug Fixes: Numerous bugs identified during the beta have been addressed, stabilizing launch day performance.
