Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Releases October 21, With Premium Clan DLC Options

During Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025, publishers Paradox Interactive and White Wolf, alongside developer The Chinese Room, confirmed that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will finally release on October 21, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This long-awaited update comes as a relief for fans who have followed the project through years of setbacks, including the troubled development under Hardsuit Labs before the title was handed to The Chinese Room.

Editions and DLC Content

Bloodlines 2 will launch in multiple editions, each offering distinct bonuses:

  • Deluxe Edition: Includes Santa Monica Memories, a cosmetic DLC inspired by the original cult classic Bloodlines. This pack allows players to decorate Phyre’s in-game apartment with nostalgic items. It will also be available separately for $11.99 USD.

  • Premium Edition: Bundles Santa Monica Memories with Shadows and Silk, a major DLC that introduces two iconic clans, Lasombra and Toreador. Each clan comes with unique abilities, distinct playstyles, and exclusive outfits. Shadows and Silk will also be available as standalone DLC for $21.99 USD.

Additionally, all pre-orders across editions include the Bloodlines Nostalgia Jukebox, an apartment decoration that plays original tracks composed by Rik Schaffer, the composer behind the first Bloodlines soundtrack.

A Long Road to Release

The path to Bloodlines 2’s launch has been anything but smooth. Initially announced in 2019, the project went through years of delays and major studio changes. With The Chinese Room at the helm, expectations have been reset, with a focus on staying true to the atmosphere, branching narratives, and immersive role-playing that made the original a cult hit.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is set in modern Seattle, where players will step into the role of Phyre, navigating the dangerous politics of Kindred society. The addition of Lasombra and Toreador as DLC clans expands the already diverse range of playstyles available, catering to both fans of manipulation and raw power.

The countdown to release has finally begun, and for fans of the World of Darkness, October 21 cannot come soon enough.

Which clan will you side with in Bloodlines 2, the elegant Toreador, the shadowy Lasombra, or another fan favorite?
