Sword of Justice Launches Globally on November 7 with Full Path Tracing and AI-Powered NPCs
ZhuRong Studio, an internal team under NetEase, has officially announced that the global launch of its highly anticipated open-world MMO Sword of Justice will take place on November 7. The game will be available on PC via Steam, as well as on Android and iOS.
Sword of Justice is a free-to-play title, but ZhuRong Studio has emphasized that it will not include pay-to-win mechanics. Character progression will be entirely driven by gameplay, supported by strict stat caps and seasonal resets that ensure a level playing field. The system rewards skill, strategy, and dedication, creating a competitive yet fair environment for all players.
Adapted from Wen Ruian’s literary classic “The Four Great Constables: Sword of Justice”, the game transports players to the Song Dynasty (960–1279). Within this richly detailed open world, players can explore vast landscapes filled with mountain peaks, hidden caverns, ancient puzzles, lost martial techniques, and legendary treasures.
The game blends martial arts fantasy with historical storytelling, allowing players to battle mythical beasts, confront outlaws, and delve into dungeons filled with secrets. Traversal is dynamic thanks to the Windstride and Shadowbearer techniques, which let characters wall-run, glide, sprint across rooftops, and perform parkour maneuvers throughout the world.
Unlike traditional MMOs that restrict players to combat-focused roles, Sword of Justice offers diverse life skills and professions. Players can engage in cooking, fishing, performing arts, archeology, farming, case-solving, and even presiding over trials in court.
Combat roles are also highly flexible: tanks can heal, healers can deal damage, and players can freely combine abilities to create unique fighting styles. This system encourages experimentation and cooperative synergy in both PvE and PvP encounters.
One of Sword of Justice’s most groundbreaking features is its AI Metaverse system, which introduces intelligent NPCs with distinct personalities, memories, and adaptive routines. These NPCs evolve over time, forming genuine connections with players and reacting differently based on past interactions. This AI-driven social ecosystem aims to make the world feel alive and responsive, enhancing immersion far beyond what’s typical in the MMO genre.
Visually, Sword of Justice is a technical showcase across both PC and mobile platforms. The game supports ray tracing on mobile, while the PC version features full path tracing, along with NVIDIA DLSS Ray Reconstruction and DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation for enhanced realism and smoother performance.
Despite these advanced visual technologies, ZhuRong Studio has kept the PC system requirements remarkably accessible:
-
OS: Windows 10 64-bit or newer
CPU: Intel i5 9th Gen or AMD equivalent
Memory: 8 GB RAM
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti or equivalent
DirectX: Version 11

With its fusion of historical martial arts storytelling, AI-driven world simulation, and cutting-edge visual fidelity, Sword of Justice represents one of NetEase’s most ambitious projects to date. Its focus on fair competition, skill-based progression, and immersive worldbuilding positions it as a potential landmark in the modern MMO landscape.
