Paradox Interactive and Haemimont Games have announced Surviving Mars Relaunched, a remastered edition of the acclaimed 2018 city-building survival game, during Gamescom 2025. The upcoming release will bring the Martian colonization experience to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, featuring enhanced visuals, new gameplay systems, and additional content.
Enhanced Features for a New Generation
According to the official press release, Surviving Mars Relaunched will feature enhanced graphics, an overhauled UI, and brand-new content never included in the original version. The remaster also marks the first time the title will be available natively on current-generation consoles.
A major new addition is the introduction of colony factions through The Martian Assembly. This feature challenges players to build not just sustainable colonies, but also to navigate the political and social complexities of shaping a Martian society. Expanded mod support is also included, giving players even more creative freedom to customize their experience.

For those new to the series, Surviving Mars Relaunched will be available for $39.99 / £34.99 / €39.99. Players who already own the original 2018 release will have access to a discounted upgrade for $19.99 / £17.50 / €19.99.
