Palworld: Palfarm Spin-off Announced with Online Co-Op, Farming Focus, and ULTRAKILL Collaboration
PocketPair, the studio behind the viral hit Palworld, has officially announced a new spin-off titled Palworld: Palfarm, which shifts the focus from creature-catching survival to farming and community-building. The reveal came with the opening of the game’s Steam store page and a debut trailer showcasing its more relaxed, yet still quirky, gameplay loop.
Unlike the action-driven survival mechanics of Palworld, Palfarm takes place on an island where each Pal contributes to running and expanding your farm. Different Pals specialize in unique tasks:
Sowing Pals plant seeds.
Watering Pals keep crops nourished daily.
Harvesting Pals gather crops or assist in crafting.
Beyond farming, players can interact with the island’s human residents, forging bonds through daily conversations, cooperative work, and thoughtful gifts. Pals may even act as matchmakers, guiding you toward special relationships with islanders.
While farming is at the core of Palfarm, combat also plays a role. Hostile Pals raid farms or hide underground to ambush players, providing resources when defeated. Players can also access an island marketplace managed by both Pals and villagers, where crops and crafted goods can be traded. Rare items may be discovered, and rumors hint at a hidden black market, where unusual trades involving guns and questionable fertilizer take place.
For players seeking a social experience, Palfarm includes online co-op multiplayer, allowing friends to collaborate on a single farm.
Though no release window has been confirmed, PocketPair has already listed minimum PC requirements on Steam:
OS: Windows 10 or later (64-bit)
CPU: Intel i5-3570K 3.4 GHz (4-core)
RAM: 16 GB
GPU: GeForce GTX 1050 (2GB)
DirectX: Version 11
Storage: 40 GB (SSD required)
In addition to Palfarm, PocketPair revealed a crossover event between Palworld and the retro-inspired FPS ULTRAKILL by Arsi Patala. Players can expect themed gear and weapons from ULTRAKILL to appear in Palworld soon, bringing an unexpected yet fitting dose of chaos to the monster-collecting world.
