NVIDIA Expands GeForce NOW to Steam Machines and Firefox With More Day 1 AAA Games
NVIDIA is significantly expanding GeForce NOW across the Steam ecosystem, web browsers and living room devices, while confirming several major 2026 games for day 1 cloud streaming. According to NVIDIA, Steam Machine and Steam Controller support will arrive later in 2026 for Steam Deck and Steam Machines, extending the existing GeForce NOW integration with Valve hardware. Steam Controller support will later expand to Windows and macOS as NVIDIA continues positioning the cloud service as a gaming platform capable of moving between PCs, handhelds and TVs.
Firefox is now officially supported as well, allowing players to access GeForce NOW directly through Mozilla's browser without installing the dedicated application. Ultimate members can stream at up to 1440p and 120 FPS through Firefox, while NVIDIA continues offering considerably higher performance through supported native applications. Firefox joins Chrome, Edge and Opera among officially supported Windows browsers, giving players another option for accessing more than 2,000 supported games through the cloud.
NVIDIA is also expanding its software integration. GOG single sign on is now live, allowing players to connect their account once, synchronize supported games and launch compatible titles without repeatedly signing in. New DLSS 4.5 controls are also coming to GeForce NOW, giving Ultimate members greater control over Super Resolution, Dynamic Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction in supported games.
The game lineup is becoming equally important. NVIDIA has confirmed that CONTROL Resonant, Gears of War: E Day, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, The Blood of Dawnwalker and STAR WARS Zero Company will all be available through GeForce NOW from day 1. The Star Wars confirmation is particularly notable after the title was absent from NVIDIA's initial August roadmap, something highlighted in our previous look at GeForce NOW's August lineup. Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is also joining the service as part of the August additions.
Living room support is expanding through Amazon as well. More Fire TV Stick devices, including the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, will gain GeForce NOW support later this year, while users will also be able to purchase GeForce NOW memberships directly through their Amazon accounts. Together, the updates push NVIDIA closer to making GeForce NOW independent of any single operating system or gaming device.
The most important part of NVIDIA's GeForce NOW strategy is becoming accessibility rather than simply raw cloud GPU performance. RTX 5080 class servers already give Ultimate members serious graphics capability, but that hardware becomes considerably more useful when players can move between a Steam Deck, Steam Machine, Firefox browser and television without changing their game library.
Day 1 support for titles such as Gears of War: E Day, CONTROL Resonant and The Blood of Dawnwalker is equally important. Cloud gaming needs major releases at launch if it wants to become a genuine alternative to local gaming hardware, and NVIDIA appears increasingly focused on closing that content gap.
