NVIDIA Driver 610.88 Powers Halo: Campaign Evolved and Expands DLSS 4.5 Support

NVIDIA has released its GeForce Game Ready Driver 610.88 WHQL, optimizing supported graphics cards for Halo: Campaign Evolved, Mistfall Hunter, and the upcoming Gears of War: E Day multiplayer beta. Halo: Campaign Evolved officially launched on July 28 following early access that began on July 23. The Unreal Engine 5 remake adds improved visuals, expanded cinematics, refined gameplay, 3 new missions, additional weapons and vehicles, new enemies, and 4 player online cooperative support with cross platform progression.

On compatible GeForce RTX systems, Halo: Campaign Evolved includes DLSS Super Resolution, Frame Generation, and NVIDIA Reflex. Players can also use the NVIDIA app to upgrade the game with the newest DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution model and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, allowing supported RTX 50 Series graphics cards to target higher frame rates.

Driver 610.88 also resolves crashes affecting Halo: Campaign Evolved on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs using Release 610 drivers. The same correction was previously distributed through hotfix 610.82, which Duck IT covered when the early access stability problem first appeared. Additional fixes address extended pauses in Path of Exile 2, stability in Silent Hill F, crashes when closing Strange Brigade and Zombie Army 4, and frame pacing with Smooth Motion and G SYNC in selected DirectX 11 games.

Mistfall Hunter launches on July 29 with DLSS Super Resolution, Multi Frame Generation, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, NVIDIA Reflex, and ray traced reflections and shadows. The extraction action RPG from Bellring Games combines class based combat with high risk expeditions where defeated players can lose the resources gathered during a raid.

Corsair Cove follows on July 31 with DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution, Frame Generation, up to 4X Multi Frame Generation, NVIDIA Reflex, and NVIDIA DLAA. GeForce RTX 50 Series owners can use the NVIDIA app to enable up to 6X Dynamic Multi Frame Generation. Developed by Limbic Entertainment and published by Hooded Horse, the pirate themed city builder focuses on vertical settlements, production networks, naval construction, exploration, and battles against the Crown.

Gears of War: E Day will receive Game Ready support ahead of its multiplayer Open Beta. Early access to the beta begins on August 6 for preorder customers and PC Game Pass subscribers, with DLSS Super Resolution and NVIDIA Reflex available on PC. The complete game launches on October 6 with DLSS 4.5, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, NVIDIA Reflex, Lumen lighting, MegaLights ray traced shadows, and Nanite geometry.

NVIDIA is also extending DLSS 4.5 upgrades to several recently released games. The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu launched with DLSS Super Resolution, Multi Frame Generation, and NVIDIA Reflex, while the NVIDIA app adds access to the newest Super Resolution model and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation. Killing Floor 3 supports Super Resolution and Multi Frame Generation, with up to 6X Dynamic Multi Frame Generation available through the app on RTX 50 Series hardware. Palworld 1.0 can receive the same Super Resolution model upgrade and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation support after leaving early access.

The company is continuing its GeForce Summer Nights promotion with preorder codes for CONTROL Resonant and a custom wrapped GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition inspired by Remedy’s upcoming game. Players can enter through the designated NVIDIA giveaway prompts and watch Jacob Freeman’s broadcast on July 31 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Pacific Time.

GeForce Rewards is also offering a 3 month Discord Nitro subscription while supplies remain. The reward is available through the NVIDIA app to users with a GeForce GTX 10 Series or newer desktop or laptop GPU. Eligible users must not have subscribed to Discord Nitro during the previous 12 months, and availability follows a first come, first served system.

Driver 610.88 shows how NVIDIA is increasingly combining traditional Game Ready optimization with NVIDIA app based DLSS overrides. Games no longer need to receive a complete developer patch to access every new reconstruction model or frame generation mode, allowing supported titles to adopt newer technology more quickly.

That flexibility is valuable, but it also creates a more complicated PC gaming environment. Players must now consider the features included directly inside a game, the upgrades available through the NVIDIA app, and the GPU generation required for advanced options such as Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and 6X modes.

Halo: Campaign Evolved is the central release for this driver, but the broader lineup demonstrates NVIDIA’s strategy more clearly. DLSS 4.5 is becoming a platform layer connecting major Xbox releases, independent games, survival titles, city builders, and live service updates under the same GeForce software ecosystem.

Which game are you most interested in testing with DLSS 4.5: Halo: Campaign Evolved, Mistfall Hunter, Corsair Cove, Gears of War: E Day, or Palworld?
