Nioh 3 Gets New Demo on PlayStation 5 and PC on January 29 2026 with Progress Carrying Over to Full Game

During The Game Awards 2025 publisher KOEI TECMO and developer Team NINJA confirmed that a brand new demo for the upcoming dark samurai action RPG Nioh 3 will be released on January 29 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. This marks the first time PC players will be able to access a Nioh 3 demo as the previous test version was limited exclusively to PlayStation 5.

According to the official announcement players will be able to experience the new demo either solo or through online multiplayer with up to three additional players. However cross play will not be supported. This limitation applies not only to the demo but also to the full release of Nioh 3. One of the most meaningful incentives for returning players is that save data from the demo will carry over directly into the final game allowing progress to be preserved once the full version launches.

These rewards are unlocked by redeeming the Hellfrost Armour Set early purchase bonus in game.

To further celebrate the upcoming release KOEI TECMO is offering a limited time promotion on Steam with a ninety percent discount on Nioh Complete Edition, giving new players an accessible entry point into the franchise ahead of Nioh 3’s launch.
