Nioh 3 Launches on February 6, 2026, According to Amazon Japan
Amazon Japan has briefly listed a release date for Nioh 3, as spotted by X user Renka_schedule. The listing revealed that the highly anticipated action RPG is slated to launch on February 6, 2026, before being promptly taken down, likely at the request of KOEI TECMO. Despite its removal, the date seems credible, as the game was already confirmed to launch in early 2026 and the timing aligns closely with the franchise’s anniversary, given that the first Nioh debuted on February 7, 2017.

Nioh 3 was first unveiled during June’s State of Play and is expected to make another appearance at the September State of Play, scheduled to air later today at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET / 11 PM CEST. The game will also be prominently featured in the Tokyo Game Show 2025 Official Program tomorrow at 8 PM JST. During the broadcast, General Producer Yasuda and Producer Shibata will join host Hatsune Matsushima to showcase new updates, including a live gameplay demo where they face off against a formidable boss in the new Heian Period stage. This demo will highlight the use of both the Samurai-style Dual Swords and the Ninja-style Tonfa weapons.
One of the biggest innovations in Nioh 3 is the ability to switch seamlessly between samurai and ninja combat styles, offering players unprecedented flexibility in combat strategy. Another major shift comes with the transition to an open-field environment, replacing the mostly linear level design of previous entries to enhance exploration and player freedom. Unlike the prior two installments, Nioh 3 will also launch simultaneously on PlayStation 5 and PC, marking a significant step for the franchise by abandoning the staggered release schedule.
Our own Kai Tatsumoto will be hands-on with the game at TGS 2025, so be sure to look forward to his full report soon.
