New World DLC Rise of the Angry Earth Now Bundled Free with the Base Game to Celebrate Season 10: Nighthaven

To celebrate the launch of Season 10: Nighthaven, Amazon Games has officially announced that the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion for New World is now free for all players. The announcement was made on the game’s official Steam news post, marking a major milestone for accessibility in the game and lowering the barrier for both new and returning adventurers.

Originally released in October 2023, Rise of the Angry Earth brought several of the game’s most requested features and updates. The expansion introduced a level cap increase, a new gear rarity, a new endgame Expedition, and a Heartrune ability. Its most notable addition was the long-awaited player mounts, which transformed exploration in Aeternum. Before this update, players had to travel the massive world entirely on foot.

Despite its strong content, the expansion, which was priced at $29.99, did not gain widespread adoption due to its cost. With the excitement surrounding Season 10, Amazon Games decided to remove this price barrier and make all Rise of the Angry Earth content available to every player who owns New World.

How can I get access to the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion?
Players who already own New World on PC will automatically gain access to the expansion once they install the Season 10 update. No separate download is required.

What if I recently purchased Rise of the Angry Earth?
Any player who bought the DLC within the past 30 days will automatically receive a refund through Steam. Players do not need to take any action, and refunds should be completed within 72 hours.

Do I need the expansion if I own New World: Aeternum?
No. New World: Aeternum already includes all of the Rise of the Angry Earth content. The free bundle applies only to players who purchased the original New World base game before Aeternum released in 2024.

With Season 10 introducing fresh storylines, new rewards, and community-driven events, this update marks a major step toward revitalizing New World.
