Maxsun Launches ARL-HX Mini Station – A Compact AI Workstation Featuring Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX
Maxsun has officially unveiled the ARL-HX Mini Station, a high-performance yet compact AI workstation built for professionals who demand top-tier computing power in a portable form factor. With a starting price of under $2800 USD and shipments planned for September 2025, this 20-liter system packs workstation-grade specifications into a small, efficient design optimized for AI workloads, machine learning, and large language model (LLM) deployment.
The ARL-HX Mini Station is powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, offering 24 cores (8 Performance + 16 Efficiency) and clock speeds of up to 5.4 GHz, paired with a 160W TDP for uncompromising performance. The motherboard supports up to 256 GB of SO-DIMM DDR5 memory running at speeds of up to 7200 MT/s (overclocked), thanks to an innovative T-shaped PCB layout with enhanced wiring for signal stability.
GPU performance is equally impressive, with dual PCIe Gen5 slots enabling configurations such as two Intel Arc PRO B60 GPUs with 24 GB VRAM each, delivering a combined 48 GB of high-bandwidth GPU memory for demanding AI tasks. The chassis can also accommodate larger cards like the upcoming NVIDIA RTX 5090.
The cooling system features independent thermal chambers for the CPU and GPU, ensuring optimal temperature control under heavy workloads. The chassis itself is fully metallic with mesh ventilation panels and supports standard ATX power supplies, providing upgrade flexibility.
Connectivity is another strong point, with four Thunderbolt ports (2x TB5 and 2x TB4) offering up to 192 Gbps of bandwidth, 10G LAN + 2.5G LAN, Wi-Fi 7, and robust storage expansion that includes three M.2 slots, SlimSAS connectors, and 8x SATA interfaces. Multiple USB Type-A ports, DisplayPort inputs, and a PCIe x4 slot further enhance its versatility.
Maxsun claims the ARL-HX Mini Station is capable of running LLMs of up to 671B parameters when leveraging its maximum memory configuration, while its GPU setup is ideal for 70B parameter models. The system is also optimized for Qwen-32B models on DeepSeek, making it a highly capable solution for AI researchers, data scientists, and creative professionals working in deep learning environments.
With its combination of portability, cutting-edge hardware, and advanced connectivity, the Maxsun ARL-HX Mini Station positions itself as one of the most compelling compact AI workstations in its price segment.
