Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch v1.0 Launches This October
After nearly a year in early access, Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch will officially launch in version 1.0 on October 9, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Steam players have had access since November 2024, but now console players can get ready for the full release with pre-orders open and brand-new demos available on PlayStation and Xbox. Steam players can also continue to try out the existing demo.
The tactical roguelite RPG is a follow-up to developer Ocean Drive Studio’s Lost Eidolons, the turn-based tactical RPG released in 2022 on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Story and Gameplay
A new trailer highlights the story and gameplay of Veil of the Witch, showing off its blend of tactical combat and roguelite progression.
Players take on the role of a shipwrecked warrior struggling to recover lost memories. A mysterious witch offers a bargain: slaughter all who oppose her, and in return, regain your life and memories. It’s a dark, high-stakes journey that layers choice-driven storytelling with strategic battles.
Ocean Drive’s Busy Year
Veil of the Witch marks Ocean Drive Studio’s second release of 2025, following the roguelite shooter Section 13 which launched this past May. The studio is also developing God Save Birmingham, a physics-driven, third-person semi-open world survival game set in the 14th century, where players must survive against hordes of the undead.
With Veil of the Witch finally stepping into its full release, tactical RPG fans have another chance to dive into Ocean Drive’s growing portfolio.
Will you be pre-ordering Veil of the Witch or trying the demo first before committing?
