Koei Tecmo Confirms Nioh 3, Ninja Gaiden 4, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment for Tokyo Game Show 2025
Koei Tecmo has revealed its lineup for Tokyo Game Show 2025, confirming that some of its most anticipated titles will be showcased, including Nioh 3, Ninja Gaiden 4, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. The announcement was highlighted by Japanese news watcher Genki on X.
The third entry in Team NINJA’s acclaimed masocore action-RPG series will have a major presence at TGS. While details are still limited, PlayStation 5 users were able to try a limited-time demo earlier this year in June. That demo offered a glimpse into Nioh 3’s evolution, including a more open level design and a new Ninja fighting style, which adds fresh layers of depth to combat.
Following community feedback from the demo, Team NINJA confirmed it has already begun implementing balance tweaks, control refinements, and performance optimizations. Nioh 3 is set to launch in early 2026 on PS5 and PC.
Koei Tecmo announced its Tokyo Game Show 2025 lineup including Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment playable for the first time which means a release date should be announced soon! 👀

Equally exciting is confirmation that Ninja Gaiden 4 will also be present. Team NINJA is working on the project in collaboration with PlatinumGames, a partnership that suggests the return of Ryu Hayabusa could blend both studios’ signature action design philosophies. While no release date has been announced, fans can expect Tokyo Game Show 2025 to provide the first meaningful look at the long-awaited sequel.
Finally, Koei Tecmo will showcase Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, the next major installment in the Zelda-themed spin-off series. While details remain scarce, it will be the third major Hyrule Warriors game and could offer another large-scale, musou-style battlefield experience, this time tied to new lore expansions in the Zelda universe.
Koei Tecmo’s TGS 2025 lineup is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated of the show. With Nioh 3 nearing release, Ninja Gaiden 4 in active development, and Hyrule Warriors expanding the Zelda spin-off legacy, fans of action and masocore titles have plenty to look forward to.
