AOC Debuts HDR1000 MiniLED Dual Mode UHD Gaming Monitor Alongside 420 Hz Budget Esports Display
AOC has expanded its AOC Gaming lineup with two new displays targeting both high fidelity visual enthusiasts and competitive esports players. The highlight is the U27G4XM, a MiniLED based UHD monitor featuring HDR1000 certification and a dual mode refresh configuration. For budget focused gamers, AOC also introduced the 25G4KUR, a high refresh rate Fast IPS display built for esports level performance.
The U27G4XM marks one of AOC’s most advanced consumer monitors to date. Unlike traditional IPS or VA LCD panels, MiniLED technology incorporates thousands of compact backlight zones for far more precise dimming control. This results in deeper contrast, greater uniformity and significantly improved HDR performance. AOC equips the U27G4XM with 1152 local dimming zones and DisplayHDR 1000 certification, enabling peak brightness up to 1200 nits for premium HDR content and next generation visual clarity.
The monitor supports Dual Mode operation, allowing users to switch between 160 Hz at 4K resolution and 320 Hz at Full HD. This provides flexibility for players who want cinematic single player experiences at high resolution while also enabling top tier responsiveness in competitive scenarios. Color fidelity is another strong point with 151.8 percent sRGB coverage and 98 percent DCI P3 for vibrant, accurate color reproduction suitable for gaming, media consumption and creator workflows.
For players looking for esports grade refresh rates at a more affordable price, AOC has also launched the AOC Gaming 25G4KUR. This model features a 24.5 inch Fast IPS panel with a 1 millisecond GtG response time and an astounding 420 Hz refresh rate at 1080p. With G Sync compatibility and HDR400 certification, the display delivers smooth motion performance while maintaining solid visual quality for its class.
César Acosta, Gaming Product Manager for AGON by AOC, emphasized how these two monitors reflect the brand’s commitment to different gaming needs.
He stated that the U27G4XM brings MiniLED HDR1000 capabilities to mainstream pricing with flexible frame rate modes, making it an ideal choice for console gaming and single player titles while still offering competitive level performance. Meanwhile, the 25G4KUR is positioned as a pure esports focused monitor with a high refresh rate and accessible pricing suited for competitive environments and training setups.
The AOC Gaming 25G4KUR will be available for 209.99 pounds, continuing AOC’s tradition of strong value in the esports display category. The flagship MiniLED U27G4XM will launch in January 2026 at a price of 399.99 pounds.
With these new additions, AOC continues to broaden its catalog of gaming focused monitors, delivering options that address both cutting edge HDR performance and ultra high refresh rate competitive gaming.
