Thunderful and To The Sky Announce Godbreakers, a Four-Player Co-Op Hack’n’Slash Slated for 2025 Launch on PS5 and PC
Thunderful Games and subsidiary studio To The Sky have officially revealed Godbreakers, a fast-paced four-player cooperative action hack'n'slash title set to arrive on PlayStation 5 and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store) later in 2025. In a bold move to get players involved early, a free playable demo is already available now on Steam
Godbreakers plunges players into a world gripped by the unrelenting force of Monad, a rogue artificial intelligence bent on domination. Players take up arms against Monad's monstrous creations, turning the tide of battle by absorbing enemies' powers and unleashing them with devastating effect.
According to Thunderful, the game encourages dynamic movement, pattern recognition, and reflex-heavy combat. Whether you’re teaming up with friends in four-player co-op or braving the onslaught solo, Godbreakers promises a gameplay experience that thrives on skill-based mastery and strategic coordination.
The official reveal trailer offers a glimpse into its distinctive combat style, visual flair, and the intensity players can expect when confronting Monad’s legions. Visually reminiscent of stylized science-fantasy aesthetics, the game combines frenetic melee action with flashy traversal and a heavy emphasis on countering enemies using their own strength.
With Thunderful undergoing major internal restructuring and a recent acquisition deal with Atari in the works, the announcement of Godbreakers signals a strong commitment to delivering new original IPs that stand out in today’s competitive action-RPG market.
More details are expected in the coming months as Godbreakers progresses toward its full release.
