Embark Studios Confirms No Further Public Playtests for ARC Raiders Before October Launch, Skips Gamescom 2025
Earlier this year, Embark Studios, the team behind the popular free-to-play FPS The Finals, showcased its upcoming third-person extraction shooter ARC Raiders with a large-scale public playtest in April, followed by a major release date trailer during Summer Game Fest 2025.
Since then, the game has remained under wraps, and now Embark Studios has confirmed via the official ARC Raiders X account that the next time players see significant updates will be much closer to its October 30, 2025 launch. The studio stated it is currently in a full “heads-down” development phase, focusing entirely on polishing and expanding the game ahead of release.
In the update, Embark made it clear there will be no further public playtests before launch and that ARC Raiders will not be featured at Gamescom 2025, which takes place in just over a week.
“Our focus is now on polishing and expanding the experience, and putting all the learnings from TT2 into action ahead of release,” the statement read. “Just so you know, we’re not planning additional public tests before launch. We’ve learned from our last announcement that it’s crucial to keep expectations in check, so we also want to be clear that we won’t be at Gamescom. But don’t worry, our launch campaign will kick off before you know it!”
The post also reassured fans that there will be more updates leading into launch, thanking the community for their continued support and encouragement.
ARC Raiders is set to launch on October 30, 2025, and will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
