Dying Light: The Beast 11-Week Roadmap Adds Ray Tracing on PC, New Game+, Legend Levels, and Nightmare Difficulty

Techland has officially revealed its eleven-week post-launch roadmap for Dying Light: The Beast, providing a detailed overview of upcoming updates and community initiatives that will roll out over the next three months. Following a successful launch and strong reception among fans, the developer appears fully committed to building upon the game’s foundation by introducing new gameplay systems, visual enhancements, and large-scale community events that will expand its content and replayability.

Among the most notable features confirmed for this roadmap are the long-awaited return of New Game+, Legend Levels, and Nightmare Difficulty, as well as the addition of new weapon executions and the long-promised Ray Tracing support on PC. The latter feature was unexpectedly removed just prior to launch, to the disappointment of many players who had anticipated the enhanced lighting and reflections that ray-traced rendering offers. Its upcoming reinstatement will finally allow PC players to experience Dying Light: The Beast at its intended visual quality.

In addition to these gameplay and technical improvements, Techland has announced a new global community initiative called Call of the Beast, which began today and will run until January 7, 2026. The event is designed to encourage cooperation and persistence across the worldwide player base, introducing new community-wide challenges every Thursday with corresponding exclusive rewards. Each challenge contributes to a shared goal, and participants who help complete the objectives will receive unique prizes automatically delivered to their in-game stash. These rewards will vary from powerful weapons and collectible car skins to other exclusive items designed to celebrate the achievements of the community as a whole.

The structure of Call of the Beast also includes cumulative goals to incentivize continued participation. Players who contribute to at least 17 of the 22 total challenges will unlock a secret Legendary Reward at the conclusion of the event, while the completion of 20 total goals by the global community will result in all participants receiving every available prize, regardless of when they joined. Techland’s emphasis on shared success and collective progress reflects its ongoing commitment to fostering an active and engaged player community.

The first community challenge, titled Season to Dismember, is already underway. Players are tasked with collectively severing 30 million limbs to earn the Lumberjack Car Skin, and 60 million limbs to unlock the Woodchopper Axe. The challenge will run until Thursday, October 23 at 4 PM CEST, setting the tone for what is expected to be an extensive and engaging event series.

Beyond the community event, Techland also confirmed that the roadmap will bring continued gameplay refinements, new content drops, and even a collaboration with PUBG Mobile, though further details on that partnership have yet to be disclosed. The return of Legend Levels will extend the progression system beyond the standard level cap, providing additional bonuses and long-term goals for veteran players. The introduction of Nightmare Difficulty will cater to those seeking a far greater challenge, testing skill, endurance, and mastery of the game’s mechanics. Meanwhile, the inclusion of new weapon executions and animations will deepen the melee combat experience that has long been a defining hallmark of the Dying Light franchise.

Dying Light: The Beast has enjoyed a strong debut month, and this comprehensive eleven-week roadmap indicates that Techland is not slowing down. The developer’s willingness to address community feedback, restore missing features like ray tracing, and launch large-scale collaborative events shows a clear intention to maintain momentum well into 2026. With the combined promise of technical upgrades, extended progression systems, and global community-driven content, Dying Light: The Beast is poised to continue evolving as one of Techland’s most ambitious projects yet.
