CAPCOM Spotlight Brings PRAGMATA Forward and Packs the Showcase With New Trailers

CAPCOM delivered a strong March Spotlight packed with updates across several of its biggest upcoming releases, but the headline news was the release date change for PRAGMATA. The sci fi action adventure is now set to launch on April 17, 2026, one week earlier than previously announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam. CAPCOM’s regional listing for Japan notes one important exception, with the Nintendo Switch 2 version in Japan and across Asia still scheduled for April 24.

The new PRAGMATA trailer also gave players a better look at the game’s lunar setting, including the moon’s surface and a greener, greenhouse like section of the station. CAPCOM further highlighted new Shelter features, where Hugh and Diana can interact with Cabin, a support robot that manages several functions in the base. These include the Cabin Stamp Club for reward collection, a jukebox that unlocks more music as players progress, and customization options tied to cosmetic items and Deluxe Edition content.

The spotlight then shifted to Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, which is launching on March 13, 2026. CAPCOM used the event to premiere the official launch trailer and confirm additional save data bonuses tied to other Monster Hunter titles. Players who link compatible save data can unlock layered armor rewards including the Hakum Rider Outfit, Mahana Rider Outfit, Kamura Garb, and the Hope Layered Armor set for the protagonist, while connecting a CAPCOM ID unlocks the Catcom Work outfit for Rudy.

Mega Man also made an appearance, though the update was smaller. CAPCOM shared progress on the boss design contest for Mega Man: Dual Override, revealing that the field has now been narrowed from nearly 10,000 submissions to a final top 6 based on fan voting. From there, the development team will choose the winning design that will appear in the final game when it launches next year. This was not the biggest reveal of the event, but it did show that CAPCOM is keeping community engagement central to the project as development continues.

For Street Fighter 6, CAPCOM spotlighted Outfit 4 content and confirmed that the new costume wave arrives on March 17 alongside Alex. CAPCOM also emphasized that Alex’s hard hitting wrestling style and walkout sequences were motion captured by Kenny Omega. The new Street Fighter 6 trailer also teased more on the upcoming live action Street Fighter film, with an extended look set to arrive later this month during Capcom Cup 12 and the Street Fighter League: World Championship 2025.

The showcase closed with one of its more unexpected moments, an overview trailer for Onimusha: Way of the Sword. In the new Onimusha trailer, CAPCOM revealed more of Miyamoto Musashi’s journey, showing how he is struck down by the Genma before being revived and sent back into battle with the Oni gauntlet. The trailer also confirmed that Musashi will cross paths with his rival Sasaki Ganryu and several allies while confronting supernatural threats and unsettling mysteries throughout the campaign. CAPCOM has already described the title as a more linear experience, and this latest showing reinforces that it is leaning into focused swordplay action rather than open world design.

Overall, this CAPCOM Spotlight felt dense in the best way. PRAGMATA gained fresh momentum with an earlier launch date, Monster Hunter Stories 3 moved closer to release with final promotional assets, Street Fighter 6 expanded its post launch content plans, and Onimusha: Way of the Sword quietly became one of the event’s strongest showings. CAPCOM did not rely on one single blockbuster moment here. Instead, it delivered a broad, confident update that reminded players just how deep the publisher’s 2026 lineup already looks.

Which reveal stood out most to you from the CAPCOM Spotlight, PRAGMATA, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, or one of the other updates?
