ARC Raiders Emerges as Steam’s Best Selling Game of November 2025 with Over 7.7 Million Copies Sold Across All Platforms

ARC Raiders continues its meteoric rise as one of 2025’s defining multiplayer shooters. According to Alinea Analytics the third person extraction shooter topped Steam’s best selling games list for November 2025 by copies sold and has now surpassed 7.7 million units sold across all platforms. This milestone further cements Embark Studios’ surprise hit as a major commercial success story for the year.

The latest data arrives on the heels of Alinea’s prior report showing ARC Raiders sold nearly 750,000 copies during the week of November 16 to 22. Half of all copies sold to date have come from Steam while the remaining sales were evenly distributed across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. The breakout performance stands in sharp contrast to Embrak’s free to play shooter The Finals which remains dwarfed by ARC Raiders in peak concurrent player activity. SteamDB’s concurrent player charts show ARC Raiders consistently outpacing The Finals and maintaining strong daily engagement according to its player activity data.

The sustained momentum speaks to the game’s strong appeal at a time when discussions about generative AI in game development continue to evolve. ARC Raiders has clearly resonated with players but as with any multiplayer title longevity is the real test. Embark Studios will need to maintain content cadence, balance updates, and player retention strategies to determine whether ARC Raiders can secure a lasting foothold in the competitive shooter market. By this time next year, its standing at the one year mark will reveal whether it has carved out durable market share.

November’s Steam ranking also showcased the rising dominance of indie titles. RV There Yet? landed in second place with 1.9 million copies sold, followed by Peak with 1.4 million, Dispatch with 1.1 million, and rounding out the top five the parody title Escape from Duckov. ARC Raiders’ commanding lead over such diverse competitors highlights the strength of its launch.

Despite commercial triumph, ARC Raiders has not enjoyed parallel critical recognition. The game missed Game of the Year nominations at both the Golden Joystick Awards and The Game Awards securing only a single nomination for Best Multiplayer Game at the latter. Conversations around 2025’s strongest titles are instead dominated by critically acclaimed contenders such as Clair Obscur Expedition 33, Hollow Knight Silksong, and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. With The Game Awards set for December 11, 2025 the industry will soon discover which title takes top honors.

For now, however, Embark Studios can celebrate ARC Raiders as one of the year’s most successful new shooters in terms of player adoption and commercial reach.
