Where Winds Meet Unveils Massive December 2025 Roadmap

Where Winds Meet has rapidly become one of the most talked about free to play releases of 2025. As the year closes, developer Everstone Studio and publisher NetEase have outlined a feature packed December roadmap designed to capitalize on the game’s explosive momentum. The official announcement was shared via the game’s account on X.

Following a powerful debut that saw the game surpass 9 million players on PC and PlayStation 5, and ahead of more than 5 million pre registrations for the upcoming mobile launch on December 12, Where Winds Meet is receiving a substantial content expansion. The headlining addition is Roaring Sands, an entirely new region that expands the game’s world and introduces fresh environments, challenges, and narrative hooks.

December’s roadmap is structured across four themed weekly updates:

Week One

  • Live now, players can access two new Jianghu Legacy quests, deepening exploration and offering new story beats.

Week Two

Arriving later this week alongside the full launch on iOS and Android, this update introduces:

  • The River Master, a new major campaign boss

  • The expansive Roaring Sands region, the month’s central addition

Week Three

  • Players will face Feng Ruzhi, the second new boss of the month, and participate in two new limited time activities designed to encourage group play and world participation.

Week Four

Closing the month is an endgame focused content bundle, featuring:

  • Scarlet Shock Sword Trial, a high difficulty challenge

  • Hero’s Realm Blade Dance activity

  • A seasonal Fireworks Festival, bringing festive cosmetic rewards and celebratory events

The rapidity and scale of these updates underscore NetEase and Everstone’s commitment to live service cadence and long term content expansion. If Where Winds Meet can sustain engagement across its growing cross platform ecosystem, it may follow a trajectory similar to genre leaders like Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves.

Are you diving into Roaring Sands when it drops later this week? Which boss fight are you most excited for? Share your thoughts.
