Wee Beastie Launches Kickstarter for 4.75L Super Mini Fishtank Gaming & AI PC With RTX 4070 GPU,
Wee Beastie, a China-based creator group, has officially launched its Kickstarter campaign for what it calls the Super Mini Fishtank Gaming & AI PC, a compact yet high-powered machine with a total chassis volume of just 4.75 liters. The project, which has already reached its funding goal, demonstrates an ambitious approach to merging desktop-grade performance with ultra-compact form factors.
Packing high-performance components into such a small enclosure is an extremely challenging task, as most mini PCs typically rely on integrated graphics due to the lack of space for a discrete GPU. Wee Beastie, however, has managed to engineer a solution that allows the use of a desktop-class NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, implemented via a custom MXM interface. By redesigning the GPU PCB into a mobile-style module, the team was able to preserve the capabilities of a full RTX 4070 while drastically reducing the space required.
The Fishtank PC is offered with two processor configurations, the Intel Core i7-13700H as the entry option and the Intel Core Ultra 7 255H as the premium choice, priced at $699 and $899 respectively. Both CPUs, when paired with the RTX 4070, provide ample performance for gaming, content creation, and professional workloads. In addition, the system can deliver up to 466 AI TOPS of processing power, leveraging the GPU’s Tensor cores to accelerate artificial intelligence tasks, including large language models (LLMs) and vision-language models (VLMs).
Despite its remarkably compact size, the Fishtank PC does not sacrifice expandability. It supports up to 128GB of DDR5 memory, up to 16TB of SSD storage, and integrates modern connectivity standards such as WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. This gives it a significant advantage over competing Ryzen AI Max+ 395 mini PCs, which typically ship with soldered memory and limited upgrade paths. According to Wee Beastie, the only area where Ryzen AI Max+ 395 retains an advantage is in raw CPU-intensive workloads.
Another key factor is pricing. While Ryzen AI Max+ 395 mini PCs usually cost between $1500 and $2000, the Fishtank offers a starting price of $699, even when upgraded with additional RAM and storage staying well below the $1500 mark. This positions it as a more affordable yet powerful solution for users seeking a balance of compact design, strong graphical performance, and AI acceleration capabilities.
Wee Beastie emphasizes that the Fishtank PC occupies less than a quarter of the footprint of a typical mid-tower desktop, offering both performance and space efficiency. Production is scheduled to begin in December 2025, with a second phase planned for February 2026, and the first units are expected to ship to backers starting in March 2026.
The Super Mini Fishtank Gaming & AI PC thus enters the market as a unique and ambitious alternative to both traditional desktop towers and premium compact PCs, aiming to deliver high-end gaming and AI-ready performance in an ultra-small form factor, with better affordability and upgrade options than many of its competitors.
Would you consider a 4.75L powerhouse like the Fishtank for your next gaming or AI-focused setup, or do you still prefer the flexibility of a full-sized desktop system?
