Warframe: The Old Peace Launches December 10, Android Closed Beta Begins

Digital Extremes has announced that Warframe will receive its next major update, The Old Peace, on December 10 across all platforms. The update represents a significant forward step in the ongoing Warframe narrative and introduces major gameplay systems intended to reinforce long term engagement. In parallel, the studio has officially launched the Android Closed Beta Test, giving mobile players an early opportunity to experience the title after nearly two years of iOS exclusivity. Registration is available through the official website.

The Old Peace introduces two new core activities that expand Warframe’s gameplay loop. Descendia is a weekly rotating Tower experience built with roguelite sensibilities, where players progress through increasingly difficult floors while pursuing unique rewards that reset on a weekly cadence. The mode enables players to unlock deeper entry points as they advance and is designed to maintain long term replay value. Perita Rebellion is a twelve minute, high intensity mission format located on the new moon Perita. It challenges individuals or full squads to complete randomized objectives before engaging a final bespoke boss encounter. These bosses include confrontations with the Prime Vanguard and newly introduced enemy types tied to the Anarchs, Warframe’s newest faction. Both activities rely heavily on the expanded movement toolset, including advanced grappling capabilities that support rapid traversal under strict time pressure.

A central pillar of the update is the introduction of Tauron Strikes, a suite of five new Focus School Ultimate abilities that unlock artifact class weapons such as swords, hammers, and staves. These include Naramon’s Vexoric, Unairu’s Cogron, Madurai’s Thara, Vazarin’s Nidri, and Zenurik’s Lorak. Progression for these abilities is heavily integrated into the new modes and requires players to acquire Perita Rebellion resources and Focus. A first look at these mechanics is available in the latest developer showcase on YouTube..

The update will also introduce a limited time activity titled Operation Blood of Perita, running from December 16 through January 6. Players who have completed The Old Peace narrative quest can acquire Marks of Valiance through Perita Rebellion or Star Chart Alert missions. These can be exchanged with Roathe of the Devil’s Triad for exclusive rewards, including the evolving Loyaus Chest Armour and the Honoria title.

As part of its ongoing content delivery strategy, Digital Extremes is adding a new playable Warframe named Uriel, which is the sixty third addition to the roster. Uriel is inspired by early twentieth century military themes and utilizes the Vinquibus, a hybrid weapon that shifts seamlessly between a semi automatic rifle and a close range melee platform. Uriel specializes in proactive frontline combat, demon summoning mechanics, and high momentum movement abilities. Both weapon modes support independent modding paths, enabling diverse combat configurations. Uriel can be earned for free through Descendia by collecting the appropriate Blueprints and crafting materials. Alternatively, players can unlock the Warframe immediately through the Marketplace using Platinum.

The Old Peace also delivers an extensive visual uplift to Operators and Drifters, with remastered faces, enhanced hair fidelity, and new customization options. Environmental assets across the game receive updated materials, lighting, and geometry, with the moon Perita showcasing the most extensive revisions. The user interface and world map have been updated to improve clarity and navigation flow.

Alongside today’s update news, Digital Extremes confirmed that TennoCon 2026 will be held in London, Ontario on July 10 and July 11, featuring a reimagined TennoConcert as part of the event program. The studio has also advised players to tune in to The Game Awards 2025 on December 11 for a sneak preview of the next narrative chapter following The Old Peace.
