Valve Officially Revives the Steam Machine Alongside Steam Frame and a New Controller

Valve has confirmed a major expansion of its hardware ecosystem with the announcement of the next Steam Machine together with Steam Frame and a fully redesigned Steam Controller. This announcement marks the most significant hardware focused step for Valve since the arrival of Steam Deck and reinforces the company vision of bringing high performance PC gaming into more accessible form factors.

The new Steam Machine is designed as an all in one living room PC system that offers the simplicity of a console with the power of a modern computer. It features an AMD Zen four processor and AMD RDNA three graphics architecture along with storage configurations from five hundred twelve gigabytes to two terabytes. Valve states that the system delivers more than six times the performance of Steam Deck based on internal testing. Full details are expected to be expanded in upcoming official briefings.

Valve also revealed Steam Frame which is a fully standalone virtual reality headset powered by Steam OS. It is created to provide PC level virtual reality experiences without the need for external computers or wired setups. Early reports suggest that it aims to compete with premium headsets in both clarity and field of view.

The updated Steam Controller presents improved ergonomics enhanced input precision and deeper native integration with Steam OS. It is designed to function as a bridge between traditional console style controls and the precision required for PC titles.
