The Fox Hunt Multiplayer Mode in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Launches October 30

Konami has officially announced that the Fox Hunt multiplayer mode for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be released on October 30, 2025. The news was revealed during the Metal Gear Production Hotline presentation at Tokyo Game Show 2025, giving fans of the remake a firm date for the highly anticipated online mode.

Fox Hunt was first showcased in June 2025, a few months before the remake launched this past August. Many players wondered if Metal Gear Solid Delta would feature a multiplayer experience similar to the one found in the original Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Konami made it clear that wasn’t the case; instead, the development team introduced something entirely new, designed to fit more closely with the series’ focus on stealth.

According to Konami, Fox Hunt was built to “broaden the franchise’s core stealth element where players must utilize their environments to camouflage and evade opposing players.” This new design shifts away from traditional competitive modes and instead emphasizes the tactical survival and stealth gameplay that has defined the Metal Gear franchise.

While Fox Hunt looks to be a clever expansion of the stealth systems in Delta, there is one drawback. Konami confirmed before launch that the game does not include crossplay support, meaning players on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S will remain divided by platform. Whether this feature will be added later remains uncertain, but continued community demand could influence Konami’s plans.

In related news, Konami also released a Tokyo Game Show 2025 survey asking players which Metal Gear Solid game they would like to see receive the remake treatment following Delta: Snake Eater. This has reignited speculation about potential remakes of fan-favorites such as Metal Gear Solid 1 or Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater – Fox Hunt arrives October 30, 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.

What do you think of Konami’s decision to create a new stealth-focused multiplayer mode instead of reviving the classic MGS3 online experience?
