Starfinder: Afterlight Brings Sci-Fi Tabletop Adventure to PC with Early Access Launch in 2026

Epictellers Entertainment has officially announced Starfinder: Afterlight, a turn-based RPG based on the popular Starfinder tabletop role-playing game, slated to launch in Early Access on PC via Steam in 2026. The announcement comes alongside a Kickstarter campaign, giving fans the opportunity to support the project and participate in the development journey of this ambitious sci-fi fantasy title.

In collaboration with Paizo, the creators of Starfinder, Afterlight marks the first digital adaptation of the newly updated second edition Starfinder ruleset. The game promises a rich narrative-driven experience, where players command a six-member crew across a galaxy filled with danger, exploration, and consequence-driven choices.

“We’re thrilled to unveil Starfinder: Afterlight in partnership with Paizo,” said Ricard Pillosu, co-founder and CEO of Epictellers Entertainment. “This marks the beginning of a journey we want to take alongside Starfinder fans everywhere. We can’t wait to share more about the ragtag crew navigating the Pact Worlds, full of danger and adventure."

Erik Mona, publisher and chief creative officer at Paizo, echoed the excitement: “Starfinder’s universe is rich, vast, and beloved. Epictellers Entertainment's vision aligns perfectly with the essence of our galaxy. We believe they’re the ideal team to bring this next chapter of the franchise to life."

In Afterlight, players will recruit six unique companions, each representing one of six classes central to the Starfinder universe: Soldier, Envoy, Operative, Mystic, Solarian, and Witchwarper. These characters bring their own personal story arcs and tactical contributions to turn-based combat, allowing players to customize their party and influence outcomes through critical narrative decisions.

The game will explore numerous locations across the Pact Worlds and beyond, embracing the lore of the Starfinder universe with deep storytelling, strategic battles, and emotional character development. The production is also bolstered by the involvement of Neil Newbon, known for his roles in Baldur’s Gate 3 and Dead Take, who will be directing the game’s voice cast.
