Silent Hill Townfall PC Requirements Target RTX 3080 for Upscaled 4K at 30 FPS

KONAMI has revealed the official PC requirements for Silent Hill: Townfall ahead of its September 24, 2026 release. The psychological horror game will require an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT to target High settings at 4K and 30 FPS, even while using DLSS, FSR, or TSR in Balanced mode.

Developed by Screen Burn and published by KONAMI, Silent Hill: Townfall will launch for PlayStation 5 and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Its September release also places it within a competitive launch period alongside other major narrative focused games, although CAPCOM recently moved Onimusha: Way of the Sword to September 4.

The minimum configuration targets Low settings at 1080p and 30 FPS. Players will need an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel Core i7 8700K processor, 16 GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Super or AMD Radeon RX 6600 graphics card.

The recommended configuration increases the memory requirement to 32 GB and lists an AMD Ryzen 7 5700X or Intel Core i7 9700K processor. Graphics requirements also rise considerably, with KONAMI recommending an RTX 3080 or Radeon RX 7800 XT for High settings at 4K and 30 FPS through Balanced image reconstruction.

The 32 GB memory recommendation makes Townfall more demanding than Silent Hill f, which retained a 16 GB recommended memory specification. The requirement for an NVMe storage device also suggests that the game may depend heavily on rapid asset streaming and memory allocation during environmental transitions.

The stated 4K target appears to represent a reconstructed output rather than native 4K rendering because KONAMI specifically lists Balanced mode for DLSS, FSR, or TSR. Final image quality will therefore depend on the internal rendering resolution, reconstruction implementation, frame pacing, and overall Unreal Engine 5 optimization.

An RTX 3080 targeting only 30 FPS at reconstructed 4K will immediately raise questions about PC optimization, particularly when Balanced upscaling is already part of the recommended performance target. However, the requirements alone do not confirm technical problems because KONAMI has not disclosed the internal rendering resolution, ray tracing configuration, or final graphics settings used during testing.

The 32 GB RAM recommendation and NVMe storage requirement indicate that Silent Hill: Townfall may place significant pressure on system memory and asset streaming. Players should wait for independent benchmarks before upgrading hardware or assuming that the recommended configuration will provide a consistently smooth experience.
