Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 Kicks Off March 3 With Solid Snake, A New 1v1 LTM, and a Metal Gear Event
Ubisoft is taking Rainbow Six Siege into Year 11 with Season 1, Operation Silent Hunt, launching March 3, 2026, and it is leading with a headline crossover: Solid Snake is joining the Operator roster.
Snake’s arrival is paired with a limited time 4v4 infiltration event called Redacted, built around a stealth focused fantasy that teams Snake with Zero on a mission to recover stolen data. Ubisoft is also leaning into authenticity, with David Hayter returning to voice Snake, plus themed cosmetics inspired by Metal Gear Solid legacy characters.
Beyond the crossover, Operation Silent Hunt also targets a core Siege audience that has been asking for more pure skill expression. The season introduces a new limited time 1v1 Arcade mode designed to strip things down to fundamentals, giving players a clean lane to test mechanics, movement, and aim under real pressure.
On the content and live service side, Year 11 is also a systems play. Ubisoft is delivering modernised versions of classic maps with updates to visuals and destruction, alongside a new seasonal cadence that emphasizes more frequent balancing passes and Ranked map rotations.
One of the biggest strategic shifts, though, is that Dual Front is set to be removed starting in Season 2, with Season 1 positioned as its final chapter. It is a clear signal that Siege is tightening its focus back onto the core experience and keeping the playlist ecosystem more consolidated going forward.
If Ubisoft lands the execution, this is a strong start to Year 11: a mainstream attention hook, plus a competitive minded mode, plus foundational live service discipline.
What do you want more from Year 11, more maps, more modes, or more meaningful meta shakeups?
