Layers of Fear 3 Announced During Franchise 10th Anniversary Livestream, New Teaser Revealed

Bloober Team has officially unveiled Layers of Fear 3 during a special event celebrating the psychological horror franchise’s 10th anniversary, positioning the project as both a legacy milestone and a forward looking expansion of the series’ creative identity.

During the livestream, Bloober Team founder and CEO Piotr Babieno framed the series as a defining pillar for the studio, describing how it shaped the team’s long term direction and the kind of horror experiences it aims to deliver. While the reveal was intentionally early and light on concrete gameplay specifics, the studio closed the broadcast with a short teaser that confirms the next entry is in active development.

Beyond the game reveal, Bloober Team also used the anniversary spotlight to signal a wider franchise roadmap. The studio confirmed plans to release the original soundtrack on CD and vinyl, and announced a partnership with Foksal Publishing Group to publish Layers of Fear novels, starting with a book written by Marta Bijan that is currently targeted for late 2026.

From a market positioning perspective, this is a clear brand extension move. Bloober is not just shipping a sequel, it is building a multi format content pipeline that can keep community engagement warm between major releases.

Even with minimal details, the signal is strong: Bloober is doubling down on the franchise’s core value proposition, psychological horror rooted in art, obsession, and perspective driven tension, while scaling the IP into a longer horizon content strategy.

What do you want Layers of Fear 3 to prioritize most, story, puzzles, or pure psychological dread?
