Netflix’s The Witcher Season 4 Premieres October 30 With Liam Hemsworth as Geralt
Netflix has announced that The Witcher will return for its fourth season on October 30, 2025, marking the beginning of the show’s two-part conclusion. This season introduces Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia, stepping into the role left by Henry Cavill. The news was confirmed in a post on X, alongside the first proper teaser of Hemsworth in action.
Henry Cavill was instrumental in bringing Netflix’s The Witcher to life, helping establish it as one of the key catalysts for today’s surge in video game adaptations. Now, Hemsworth will lead the show through its final two seasons, both of which were filmed back-to-back, ensuring the story will wrap without production delays.
Speaking in a blog post on Netflix’s Tudum, Hemsworth expressed his enthusiasm for the role:
“As a Witcher fan, I’m over the moon about the opportunity to play Geralt of Rivia.”
Netflix continues to expand its lineup of game-inspired content, with an Assassin’s Creed live-action series currently in development and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners set to return for a second season.
As for Cavill, the actor has not stepped away from gaming adaptations entirely. He is now working passionately on a live-action Warhammer project, continuing his ties to geek culture storytelling.
With the premiere just weeks away, The Witcher Season 4 will mark a pivotal moment for both the franchise and its fan base, as audiences adjust to a new face in one of fantasy’s most iconic roles. The fifth and final season, already filmed, will follow soon after.
Do you think Liam Hemsworth will win over fans as Geralt, or will Cavill’s portrayal remain unmatched?
