MSI Celebrates 40 Years With DRACO EPIC Hardware Collection
MSI has officially launched its DRACO EPIC EDITION collection to celebrate the company’s 40th anniversary, expanding the celestial dragon theme across a GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card, AMD X870E motherboard, liquid cooler, power supply, PC case and gaming peripherals. The products were originally displayed at Computex 2026 and will be released in limited quantities, although MSI has not announced pricing or regional availability.
The centerpiece is the GeForce RTX 5080 16G SUPRIM DRACO EPIC EDITION, based on MSI’s premium SUPRIM design. It features a redesigned metal backplate with an engraved Draco illustration, diamond cut accents, brushed surfaces and a solid aluminum alloy frame. Cooling is handled by MSI’s HYPER FROZR system, combining STORMFORCE fans, a vapor chamber and optimized core pipes.
MSI has paired the graphics card with the MEG X870E ACE MAX DRACO EPIC EDITION motherboard. Its large chipset and M.2 heatsink area receives a textured dragon design with layered printing and reflective lighting effects. The AMD platform includes an onboard OC Engine, PCIe 5.0 connectivity, USB4, Wi Fi 7 and both 10G and 5G networking.
The MEG CORELIQUID E15 DRACO EPIC EDITION adds a starry blue design, aluminum laser engraving and exclusive Draco animations to MSI’s flagship liquid cooling platform. The cooler also uses Laminar Focus Technology and Cooling Safeguard, although complete thermal specifications and supported processor sockets have not been detailed in the anniversary announcement.
Power is supplied by the MEG Ai1600T PCIE5 DRACO EPIC EDITION, a 1600W unit equipped with dual native 12V 2x6 connectors, silicon carbide MOSFET technology and Cybenetics Lambda A++ acoustic certification. An integrated ARGB display can synchronize through MSI Center, while the reverse side uses mural inspired artwork to continue the Draco mythology across the system.
The MEG MAESTRO 900R DRACO EPIC EDITION completes the desktop configuration with deep blue aluminum panels, dual glass sides and a printed Draco constellation. Its centered motherboard layout and four way rotatable motherboard tray allow builders to reposition the internal platform for different component orientations and display configurations.
MSI is also extending the anniversary theme into its gaming peripherals. The collection includes the STRIKE WIRELESS 8K HE keyboard, VERSA WIRELESS 8K mouse and AGILITY DRACO EPIC mouse pad. Both input devices support an 8000 Hz polling rate, while the MAESTRO WIRELESS DRACO EPIC headset adds 40 mm drivers, Active Noise Cancellation, beamforming microphones, environmental noise cancellation and up to 90 hours of battery life.
The DRACO EPIC collection is more ambitious than a conventional anniversary recolor because MSI has created enough matching components to assemble an almost complete themed gaming system. The consistent blue, gold and celestial design gives collectors a unified alternative to the black, white and RGB combinations that dominate premium PC hardware.
Performance remains largely tied to existing flagship products, meaning the primary value will come from limited availability, materials and visual presentation rather than major architectural changes. MSI is also rebuilding its enthusiast identity through projects such as the return of the GeForce RTX Lightning series, positioning its 40th anniversary around recognizable premium hardware rather than nostalgia alone.
Would you build a complete PC using the MSI DRACO EPIC collection, or would you choose individual components based purely on performance and price?
