Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition Officially Revealed Following Leak, Now Available for Purchase

After a short-lived leak shared by Zuby_Tech on X, Xbox and Meta have officially unveiled the Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition, marking the first-ever limited-edition Meta Quest headset and celebrating the ongoing collaboration between the two tech giants.

In the official announcement published via Xbox Wire, Microsoft’s corporate VP of Gaming Partnerships and Development, Lori Wright, explained that this special edition release honors Xbox's expanded cloud gaming support on Meta Quest headsets. The Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition is now available for purchase starting at $399.99 USD, featuring 128GB of storage.

This special edition sports a bold aesthetic inspired by Xbox's iconic palette, combining Carbon Black and Velocity Green tones. It includes matching Touch Plus controllers and a limited edition standard Xbox controller, adding visual and practical value to the bundle. The kit also ships with an Elite Strap, enhancing comfort for extended sessions, and bonus content including three months of Meta Horizon+ and three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, further solidifying the headset’s gaming-first appeal.

According to Wright, "We're proud of what we've built together with Meta, and we can't wait for you to dive into everything the Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition has to offer. Whether you're streaming the latest Xbox Game Pass Ultimate titles, exploring the ever-expanding world of VR, or kicking back with immersive entertainment, this is just the beginning of what's possible when great teams and great technology come together."

The reveal reaffirms Microsoft’s commitment to expanding its ecosystem across new platforms, blending cloud gaming with virtual reality and drawing new users into the Xbox experience—without the need for a console. With Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) already accessible on Meta Quest headsets, this partnership positions VR not just as an immersive tool, but as a gateway to traditional gaming via the cloud.

With this launch, Meta and Xbox continue to blur the lines between console, PC, and virtual gaming. And while this edition is clearly designed for Xbox fans, it also provides added value for VR newcomers thanks to its bundled content and plug-and-play access to Xbox titles.
