McFarlane Toys May Have Leaked Fallout New Vegas Remaster After Fallout 3

Bethesda has stayed quiet on the future of Fallout, but new McFarlane Toys listings are again fueling speculation that Fallout New Vegas could be returning on modern platforms.

Xbox’s latest showcase came and went without a major announcement for the mainline Fallout series. Outside of continued Fallout 76 updates, Bethesda and Microsoft have not revealed a new Fallout game or a modern remaster, despite the franchise gaining massive renewed attention from the Amazon series. That silence is now being challenged by another merchandise leak. As spotted by user Morichh on the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, the McFarlane China store has listed new Fallout items tied to New Vegas branding.

The listed items include a Fallout New California Ranger 1/10 figure and a Scorched New California Sierra Member 1/10 figure. On their own, toy listings are not proof of a remaster, but the timing is notable because McFarlane was also linked to a previous Fallout 3 Remastered listing earlier this year.

That earlier listing, reported by Vice and other outlets, referenced a Fallout 3 Remastered figure before Bethesda had announced anything publicly. With both Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas now appearing around McFarlane merchandise chatter, fans are again asking whether Bethesda is preparing a wider Fallout revival.

Fallout New Vegas remains one of the most beloved entries in the franchise, but it has never received a proper modern console upgrade for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC with current generation improvements.

That makes the timing interesting. Fallout’s TV success has pushed the series back into mainstream attention, while Bethesda has already shown with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered that older RPGs can return successfully with modern presentation and better accessibility.

A Fallout New Vegas remaster would also give Xbox and Bethesda something valuable while fans wait for the next mainline Fallout game, which is still likely years away. With The Elder Scrolls VI still in development and Starfield only launching in 2023, a remaster strategy could keep Bethesda’s RPG catalog active without waiting for a full new entry.

Still, this remains a rumor. Toy listings can be accurate, but they can also reflect licensing plans, anniversary merchandise, or internal naming that never becomes a public game announcement. Bethesda has not confirmed Fallout 3 Remastered or Fallout New Vegas Remastered.

This is not confirmation, but it is becoming harder to ignore the pattern. A single toy listing can be dismissed. Multiple Fallout themed listings, following an earlier Fallout 3 Remastered mention, make the situation more interesting. Merchandise partners often receive early branding and product direction before public announcements, which is why these leaks tend to gain attention. For Xbox, the opportunity is obvious. Fallout is hot again, Bethesda’s next full Fallout game is likely far away, and remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas would give fans something meaningful while Microsoft builds its next wave of RPG releases.

The smart move would be simple. Announce both remasters close to release, keep expectations focused on preservation and modernization, and let Fallout’s renewed popularity do the rest.

Until Bethesda speaks, this stays in rumor territory. But if these listings are real indicators, Fallout fans may not have to wait for Fallout 5 to return to the wasteland.

Would you rather see Bethesda remaster Fallout 3 first, Fallout New Vegas first, or release both together?
