Marvel Rivals Season 5 Adds Rogue and Gambit, New Game Mode, and More This Friday
NetEase is preparing to launch the fifth season of Marvel Rivals on Friday, November 14, 2025. Ahead of the update, the studio released a new cinematic trailer highlighting the two major roster additions for Season 5, Gambit and Rogue. NetEase also published a new Dev Vision video that explores the upcoming seasonal changes, including the introduction of a large scale Conquest mode.
Gambit will be the first new hero arriving this Friday. Classified as a Strategist, he brings a hybrid utility and damage kit built around supporting his allies. Gambit can heal teammates, cleanse negative effects, and inflict damage while applying anti heal debuffs to enemy players. Rogue will join later in the season as part of the updated two part seasonal rollout that NetEase implemented beginning with Season 3.
Season 5 also introduces a new map set in New York’s Times Square. Unlike most maps in Marvel Rivals that focus on competitive play, Times Square is a dedicated social hub that allows players to gather, explore, and interact without combat. It serves as a more relaxed alternative between matches and highlights NetEase’s continued effort to broaden the social elements of the game.
A major competitive mode is also on the way this season. The upcoming Conquest, also known as Annihilation, is an eighteen versus eighteen large scale mode designed to bring massive team battles to Marvel Rivals. While it will not launch on the same day as Season 5, players will be able to dive into the mode later this month when it goes live on November 27.
As part of the newer seasonal structure, each season is divided into two halves with one hero releasing in each phase. With Gambit leading the first half of Season 5, more content will arrive later in the season, including Rogue and other anticipated updates that have yet to be revealed. NetEase has signaled that additional details will be shared once the second half of the season approaches.
Season 5 marks another significant update in Marvel Rivals’ development cycle, with new heroes, new modes, and expanded social spaces continuing to shape its evolving multiplayer experience.
