LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight Launches May Twenty Nine 2026 on PC and Consoles

TT Games unveiled a brand new gameplay trailer for LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight during The Game Awards 2025 and confirmed that the title will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S on May twenty nine 2026. First announced during Gamescom 2025’s ONL showcase, Legacy of the Dark Knight was positioned as the definitive LEGO Batman experience, spanning multiple eras of the Dark Knight while preserving the signature humor and charm that defines TT Games’ long running LEGO catalogue. The new gameplay footage reinforces this tone while revealing expanded combat depth and fresh mechanical layers that elevate the traditional LEGO formula.

A detailed PlayStation Blog post from TT Games community manager Gehan Amaranayke expands on these ambitions. In the post, available on the PlayStation Blog he explains that the goal for the revamped combat system was to create something uniquely dynamic compared to previous LEGO and LEGO Batman titles while maintaining the unmistakable LEGO movement style and humor. Rising enemy complexity means even Batman needs support from the broader DC Bat Family.

Players can swap between multiple characters throughout the campaign, a franchise tradition that TT Games has meaningfully evolved. Each partner features deeper, more expressive abilities that tie directly into their combat roles and personalities. Detective Jim Gordon wields a foam sprayer, Robin uses acrobatic circus techniques, Batgirl deploys her hackarang to manipulate systems, Nightwing relies on his battle staff, and Catwoman summons feline allies while using her whip and acrobatic strikes. This layered toolkit promotes variety in combat encounters and puzzle solving while highlighting the distinct identities of each hero.

Legacy of the Dark Knight appears poised to become one of TT Games’ most ambitious LEGO titles to date, building on the studio’s reputation for crafting polished, family oriented 3D action platformers. With enhanced systems, expanded character depth, and a cross era Batman narrative, this entry is shaping up to be a standout release for 2026.
