KTC Launches H27T22S-3 Pro Gaming Monitor, Featuring Up to 220Hz Refresh Rate at 1440P

The competition among budget gaming monitor manufacturers continues to intensify, and Chinese brands are leading the charge with aggressive pricing strategies that push high refresh-rate displays into the hands of mainstream gamers. Following Xiaomi’s recent announcement of two ultra-affordable gaming monitors, KTC has entered the fray with its new H27T22S-3 Pro, a 27-inch QHD display that delivers impressive specifications at an equally competitive price.

To recap, Xiaomi’s new lineup included the Redmi A-Series A22, a 1080p IPS monitor with a 100 Hz refresh rate priced at just $53, and another 1080p 144 Hz model for $65. The company also unveiled the Redmi G27Q 2026, which offered a 1440p 200 Hz IPS panel for around $112, positioning it as an entry-level QHD gaming display. KTC’s H27T22S-3 Pro arrives at the same price point, but it manages to pull ahead in several key areas that could make it the better choice for budget-conscious gamers.

The H27T22S-3 Pro serves as a direct successor to the H27T22S, which previously offered a 1440p 180 Hz configuration. The updated model now supports a native 200 Hz refresh rate that can be overclocked to 220 Hz, giving competitive players a smoother and more responsive experience. It retains the same 1 ms response time, 400 nits brightness, and color coverage of 99% sRGB and 94% DCI-P3, putting it on par with the Redmi G27Q 2026 in raw image quality.

Where KTC gains a notable advantage is in its ergonomic design and added features. The monitor ships with a fully adjustable stand, including height, tilt, and swivel functions, features that Xiaomi sells separately for an additional cost of roughly $14. Moreover, the H27T22S-3 Pro integrates dual 2 W stereo speakers, providing a convenient built-in audio option for casual setups. In comparison, information on the official Mi website suggests that the Redmi G27Q 2026 lacks integrated speakers altogether.

Connectivity options remain comprehensive and nearly identical between the two models. KTC’s monitor includes two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and a 3.5 mm audio jack, ensuring compatibility with modern gaming PCs, consoles, and multimedia devices.

With the H27T22S-3 Pro, KTC has effectively positioned itself as a direct challenger to Xiaomi’s growing monitor lineup, offering slightly better ergonomics, built-in audio, and a higher potential refresh rate—all at the same remarkably low price. As competition in the sub-$120 segment heats up, gamers are benefiting from a wave of displays that were previously unimaginable at this cost bracket.

What do you think, would you choose KTC’s 220 Hz display over Xiaomi’s 200 Hz alternative, or is brand trust still the deciding factor for budget gamers?
