Konami Shows Off New Silent Hill f Gameplay at Gamescom ONL 2025
One of the most anticipated appearances at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025 was Silent Hill f, and Konami delivered with a chilling new trailer that showcased more of the gameplay and atmosphere awaiting players when the game arrives this September. Each new reveal for Silent Hill f has pushed the series’ unsettling imagery further, and this latest look was no exception.
The trailer highlights not only combat sequences but also gives a deeper look into the disturbing story players will unravel. Silent Hill f follows Hinako Shimizu, a young woman who must uncover what happened to her town after it becomes engulfed in a dense, suffocating fog, unleashing terrifying monsters onto the streets.
Unlike previous entries that took place in the United States, Silent Hill f brings the franchise to Japan, creating a new cultural and atmospheric backdrop for its signature psychological horror. Konami has described its design philosophy as an attempt to “find the beauty in horror,” blending haunting visuals with tragic storytelling. Despite the new footage, much remains shrouded in mystery — both about Hinako’s fate and the supernatural force consuming her hometown.
Silent Hill f will launch on September 25, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Fans won’t have to wait too long for even more Silent Hill content, as Bloober Team’s remake of the original Silent Hill is also in development.
Do you like the series’ shift to Japan for Silent Hill f, or do you prefer the franchise’s traditional American setting?
