Hades II Launches September 25 on PC, Switch 2 Version Confirmed with 120 FPS Support

After several months in Early Access, Hades II will officially launch worldwide on September 25 for PC. The announcement came during the latest Nintendo Direct, which also revealed new gameplay footage and confirmed the Nintendo Switch 2 version that will support 120 FPS at 1080p resolution in docked mode.

Developed by Supergiant Games, Hades II marks the studio’s first-ever sequel and continues the legacy of the critically acclaimed Hades. The game builds upon the roguelike dungeon-crawling formula that made the original a hit, while adding new mechanics, mythological characters, and expanded narrative depth rooted in Greek mythology and the dawn of witchcraft.

The original Hades started its journey on PC and before later expanding to PlayStation and Xbox platforms. While Supergiant has not yet confirmed other console versions for Hades II, history suggests that the game will eventually make its way beyond PC and Nintendo platforms.

Hades II offers the same intense, fast-paced action as its predecessor, with new weapons, abilities, and enemies designed to keep runs fresh and endlessly replayable. As the first direct sequel in Supergiant’s portfolio, expectations are high for both storytelling and gameplay evolution.

For fans of roguelikes and Greek mythology, September 25 is shaping up to be one of the year’s most anticipated dates.

Will you be diving into Hades II on launch day, or are you waiting to see if it arrives on PlayStation and Xbox?
