ASUS Expands Its AM5 Mini ITX Lineup with the New ROG STRIX B850 I Gaming WIFI7 W in White

ASUS is expanding its AM5 Mini ITX offerings with a new white edition of its compact flagship motherboard. The new ROG STRIX B850 I Gaming WIFI7 W retains the complete feature set of the original B850 I Gaming WIFI model, introduced earlier this year, but introduces a full white aesthetic for builders who prefer clean themed or all white gaming systems.

Just like its predecessor, the ROG STRIX B850 I Gaming WIFI7 W is built around AMD’s AM5 socket and is fully compatible with next generation Ryzen processors, including upcoming Zen 5 APUs and Zen 6 CPUs. ASUS equips this Mini ITX board with a thirteen phase power design using premium ninety amp power stages. Power is delivered through a single eight pin connector, offering stable headroom for enthusiasts and compact system builders. The motherboard features two DDR5 DIMM slots supporting up to one hundred twenty eight gigabytes of memory at speeds of eight thousand four hundred mega transfers per second or higher through overclocking.

Expansion options include a single PCI Express 5.0 x16 slot with ASUS Q Release SLIM for easier GPU removal. Storage support is robust for a board of this size, offering two M.2 slots capable of PCI Express 5.0 x4 speeds along with two SATA III ports. The overclocking toolset is extensive and includes ASUS Dynamic OC Switcher, Core Flex tuning, Precision Boost Overdrive enhancement, AEMP memory profiles, and DIMM FIT PRO for improved stability on higher speed DDR5 kits.

The cooling design follows ASUS’s high end Mini ITX approach. The VRM heatsink is large for the form factor and includes an embedded cooling fan. Both the M.2 slot and the chipset are covered by integrated heatsinks. Several EZ DIY features remain a staple of the ROG STRIX Mini ITX series, including M.2 Q Slide, M.2 Q Latch, Q Antenna connectors, and rear panel Clear CMOS and BIOS FlashBack buttons.

The rear I O panel includes a well rounded selection of connectivity:

  • One USB twenty gigabits per second port

  • Five USB ten gigabits per second ports, including four Type A and one Type C with DisplayPort Alt Mode

  • Two USB 2.0 ports

  • One HDMI output

  • One Wi Fi module

  • One Intel two point five gigabit Ethernet port

  • Three audio jacks

  • One optical S P D I F out port

  • BIOS FlashBack button

  • Clear CMOS button

  • FlexKey multifunction button

The standard black version of the ROG STRIX B850 I Gaming WIFI sells for approximately two hundred seventy United States dollars. ASUS is expected to offer the new white edition at a similar price point. Additional information and launch details were initially shared by hardware reporter Victor M on X.

The ROG STRIX B850 I Gaming WIFI7 W strengthens ASUS’s presence in the Mini ITX AM5 segment, offering powerful VRMs, cutting edge connectivity, and high speed DDR5 support in a compact footprint designed for modern small form factor builds.

Would you consider building an all white Mini ITX system with the new ROG STRIX B850 I Gaming WIFI7 W, or do you still prefer full ATX setups for high performance Ryzen builds
