Grimlore Games Will Drop the First Major Content Update for Titan Quest II “Soon”
After a successful early access launch, Grimlore Games is preparing to deliver the first major content update for Titan Quest II. Following its shadow-drop earlier this summer - after being delayed out of the first half of 2025 - the game quickly proved its popularity, selling over 300,000 copies in less than three days. Now, several months into early access, fans won’t have to wait much longer before stepping into Chapter 2 of the saga.
According to the official Steam announcement, the upcoming update will expand the story by introducing Chapter 2, taking players deeper into the Northern Beaches. Here, the narrative continues to build as players uncover more about Nemesis’ plans while she relentlessly hunts them. The overarching theme pushes players to seek ways to transcend mortality in order to stand a chance against a god.
The new update isn’t just about story progression; it also brings fresh gameplay elements and challenges:
World Quests: Assist a stranded crew of travelers after a shipwreck, which evolves into a personal hunt for buried treasure.
New Boss Encounter: Face off against Skylla, a new chapter boss designed to test your combat strategy and skill.
New Enemies: A variety of additional foes to battle, adding diversity and danger to the Northern Beaches.
Refinements & Tweaks: Grimlore is also working on polishing systems and improving gameplay balance.
At present, Grimlore has not shared a specific release date for Chapter 2, but they emphasize it will be available to players “soon.” For those eager to know what’s next, the studio has already provided a public roadmap outlining their early access development plans, giving fans a sense of how the game will continue to evolve in the coming months.
For now, Chapter 2 looks set to be a substantial addition, expanding both the narrative and gameplay of Titan Quest II, while keeping the momentum strong after its impressive launch.
