GeForce NOW Adds Elliot, Dark Scrolls and EMPULSE as Steam Summer Sale Begins

NVIDIA has expanded GeForce NOW with 6 additional games as Valve begins the 2026 Steam Summer Sale, giving cloud gaming subscribers a new selection of action RPGs, shooters, fighting games, and independent adventures to stream across supported devices. The latest additions include Square Enix’s The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, the newly released movement shooter EMPULSE, Devolver Digital’s Dark Scrolls, SAND: Raiders of Sophie, Deer & Boy, and FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves.

The timing creates a strong opportunity for players looking to expand their Steam libraries without adding more pressure to local storage or upgrading their gaming hardware. The Steam Summer Sale runs through July 9, offering discounts across thousands of PC games. Not every new GeForce NOW addition is receiving the same promotion, but several are already discounted. EMPULSE currently has a 25% introductory discount, Dark Scrolls is included in launch promotions and bundles, while FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves is available at 25% off for the Standard Edition and 40% off for the Legend Edition. The Adventures of Elliot is included inside the wider sale event but remains at its standard price at the time of publication.

GeForce NOW does not provide ownership of the games themselves. Players must purchase compatible titles through supported stores before streaming them through NVIDIA’s cloud platform. Once connected, supported Steam Cloud saves allow progress to move between PCs, Macs, phones, tablets, handheld systems, televisions, and other compatible devices. This model becomes particularly useful during large seasonal sales, where players can build a library without immediately downloading every purchase or reserving hundreds of gigabytes of local storage.

Games Joining GeForce NOW This Week

Dark Scrolls, released June 22, is an action roguelite from doinksoft and Devolver Digital. Players battle through procedurally arranged fantasy environments alone or through cooperative play, combining heroes, abilities, elemental powers, and upgrades across repeated runs.

SAND: Raiders of Sophie, released June 22, combines first person shooting, extraction systems, and large mobile fortresses known as Tramplers. Crews explore a hostile alternate world while searching for resources and defending their machines from rival players.

Deer & Boy, released June 23, is a narrative focused side scrolling adventure following a grieving boy and a young deer. Its quieter visual direction gives this week’s lineup an emotional alternative to the more combat focused additions.

EMPULSE, released June 24 in Early Access, is a 6v6 movement shooter from 1047 Games. Wall running, grappling, Holojumps, terrain modifying P.A.I.N.T. Bombs, and controllable mechs create a fast combat system inspired by the movement shooter genre.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, released June 18, is an HD 2D action RPG from Square Enix and Claytechworks. Elliot and his fairy companion Faie travel across 4 different ages while using multiple weapon types and magical support abilities.

FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves brings SNK’s modern fighting game to the cloud with its REV System, online competition, and cross platform multiplayer. Its addition gives GeForce NOW another competitive title suited to devices that may not normally support the PC version locally.

NVIDIA is also continuing its GeForce NOW summer promotion through July 8. The company is offering 35% off its 12 month plans, reducing the Performance membership by $35 and the Ultimate membership by $70. Ultimate members receive access to GeForce RTX 4080 and RTX 5080 class cloud systems, with support for up to 4K resolution at 120 FPS alongside DLSS, ray tracing, and NVIDIA Reflex in compatible games.

This week’s update is less about one major blockbuster and more about giving GeForce NOW users a broad selection at the correct moment. EMPULSE benefits from removing the local hardware barrier for players interested in its fast movement and competitive action, while The Adventures of Elliot brings a major Square Enix RPG to devices that may not normally provide a strong native PC experience.

The Steam Summer Sale also strengthens the value of the cloud model. Buying discounted games and immediately streaming them without downloading large files creates a convenient workflow, particularly for handheld users, laptop owners, and players with limited storage. However, NVIDIA still depends on publishers opting into the platform, meaning customers should always confirm GeForce NOW compatibility before purchasing a game specifically for cloud use.

Which of this week’s GeForce NOW additions are you planning to stream, and have the Steam Summer Sale discounts convinced you to expand your PC library?
