Escape From Tarkov Leaves Early Access With v1.0 Launch This November

After more than nine years in early access, Battlestate Games has officially announced that Escape from Tarkov will launch its long-awaited v1.0 release on November 15, 2025. The reveal came with an intense live-action trailer, where the release date was first shown on the watch of a fallen soldier before being highlighted on a computer screen, closing out the cinematic tease.

A Long Journey Out of Early Access

First released in 2016 as a closed beta and later expanding into early access, Escape from Tarkov has built a reputation as one of the most punishing yet rewarding hardcore shooters in gaming. Known for its mix of survival mechanics, realistic gunplay, and high-stakes looting, the game has fostered a devoted community through years of incremental updates, patches, and seasonal wipes.

By the time of its full launch this November, the game will have spent over nine years in development, a rare milestone even among modern live-service titles.

What to Expect From 1.0

While Battlestate has not yet detailed exactly what the 1.0 release will include, players won’t have to wait long for a closer look. The studio confirmed that the v1.0 build will be playable at four global events leading up to launch, with the final showcase taking place in South Korea and overlapping with the official release date.

This rollout is expected to give players a first look at the finalized feature set and gameplay refinements that will distinguish the full release from its long early access phase.

Recent Updates Keep the Game Evolving

Ahead of the launch, Battlestate continues to support the game with patches. The most recent update, version 0.16.9.0, went live earlier this month and delivered a wave of balance changes and gameplay tweaks, demonstrating that development momentum remains strong as the studio approaches its milestone release.

With its reputation for brutal realism and tense, tactical firefights, Escape from Tarkov has already carved out a unique space in the FPS genre. Now, with its 1.0 release finally on the horizon, November will mark a defining moment for both Battlestate and the dedicated community that has stood by the game for nearly a decade.
