EA Resumes Battlefield Labs Playtesting to Test New Battlefield 6 Maps, Game Modes, and Tweaks

Even though the Battlefield 6 open beta has wrapped up, players still have another chance to jump into the action ahead of the game’s full launch on October 10, 2025. EA and Battlefield Studios have resumed sign-ups for the Battlefield Labs playtesting program, where fans will be able to try out new maps, game modes, and refinements based on beta feedback.

Alongside this announcement, EA released a new PC highlight trailer showcasing the technical features awaiting players with capable rigs. The video emphasizes ultrawide monitor support, NVIDIA DLSS multi-frame generation, Intel XeSS, AMD FSR, and more than 600 customization options. It even gives a nod to the frustrating secure boot issue that plagued the beta, as it highlights the game’s Javelin Anti-Cheat protection.

The biggest news, however, is the reopening of the Battlefield Labs sign-ups. Players who missed out before now have another shot at gaining early access to test the game ahead of launch. The collective Battlefield Studios team will use Labs to test not only tweaks and fixes from the beta but also new functionality for Battlefield Portal and server browsing.

Battlefield Labs testers will also be the first to play on brand-new maps like Operation Firestorm and Mirak Valley, and will get to try out Hardcore Mode for the first time.

For those who enjoyed the open beta and are eager for more, Battlefield Labs represents the best opportunity to return to the battlefield before the official release. For everyone else, the wait won’t be long - Battlefield 6 launches worldwide on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on October 10, 2025.

Are you planning to sign up for Battlefield Labs to test Operation Firestorm, Mirak Valley, and Hardcore Mode early, or will you wait until launch? Share your thoughts below.
