Crimson Desert Officially Adds Intel Arc GPU Support, Intel XeSS 3.0, and Frame Generation in New Patch

Crimson Desert has now officially received support for Intel Arc GPUs, along with Intel XeSS 3.0 and Intel XeSS Frame Generation, as part of Patch 1.03.00 released on April 11, 2026. Pearl Abyss confirmed the additions in its official patch notes, where the studio listed Intel Arc GPU support under the PC graphics and settings changes, alongside the new XeSS options and AMD Radeon Anti Lag 2.

This is a notable turnaround for the game’s PC support situation. At launch, Crimson Desert did not properly support Intel Arc graphics cards, which quickly became a point of frustration among users. Pearl Abyss later acknowledged the issue in its official FAQ and said support would be added through Patch 1.03.00, with further compatibility and performance improvements planned over time.

The new patch makes the support official on the settings side as well. According to Pearl Abyss, players can now find Intel XeSS 3.0 under the upscaling mode options and Intel XeSS Frame Generation under the video settings menu. That means Intel users are no longer just getting basic launch access, but a broader feature set that puts Arc support closer to parity with the upscaling and frame generation options already expected in major modern PC releases.

That said, the rollout is not completely flawless yet. Pearl Abyss has also acknowledged a known issue affecting Intel Arc A series GPUs, where the screen may not display properly when Intel XeSS 3.0 or Intel XeSS Frame Generation is enabled. Separate known issues notices also mention occasional crashes on some Arc cards such as the A770 and A750 in certain scenarios. In other words, the support is now official, but it is still clearly in the optimization phase rather than being fully problem free.

Even so, this patch is still an important move for both Intel and Pearl Abyss. Official Arc support means players no longer have to wonder whether the game will remain unsupported on Intel hardware, and the addition of XeSS 3.0 plus frame generation gives Intel’s GPU lineup a more serious place in the game’s graphics stack. For a high profile release like Crimson Desert, that matters. PC players increasingly expect major titles to support a wider range of vendors and feature sets from day one, or at least to reach that point quickly after launch.

Patch 1.03.00 also includes a broader range of PC improvements beyond the Intel additions, including new graphics options and fixes tied to other rendering features. That suggests Pearl Abyss is treating this update as a wider optimization pass rather than a narrow compatibility hotfix. Still, for Arc users, the headline is clear. Crimson Desert now officially supports Intel’s GPU platform, and Intel’s upscaling and frame generation technologies are now part of the game’s supported feature set.

From a market perspective, this is the kind of update Intel needs more often. Arc still faces an uphill battle in gaming mindshare, and every major title that launches without proper support reinforces skepticism around the platform. By contrast, updates like this help show that Intel can still become part of the mainstream PC gaming conversation, especially when developers are willing to keep improving compatibility after release. That last point is an inference based on the significance of official support being added post launch.

What do you think, is post launch support like this enough to rebuild confidence for Intel Arc users, or should major PC games be judged much more harshly when vendor support is missing at launch?
