CORSAIR Officially Launches HXi SHIFT PSU Series, Starting at $339

CORSAIR has officially launched its new HXi SHIFT PSU series, introducing a fresh take on power supply design that prioritizes accessibility and cable management. Following the successful RMx SHIFT lineup released earlier this year, the HXi SHIFT series builds upon the foundation of the classic HXi but adds a major functional twist, its connectors are positioned on the side of the unit instead of the back, providing a cleaner and more efficient cable routing experience.

This innovative side-mounted connector layout addresses one of the most common challenges in PC building: connecting cables after installing the PSU in tight chassis spaces. With this design, users can now easily plug in all power cables without struggling for clearance, creating a tidier and more ergonomic setup.

The HXi SHIFT series supports all the latest power standards, including ATX 3.1 certification and PCIe 5.1 compliance, ensuring full compatibility with current and future high-end GPUs. Each unit also includes a PVC cable kit with low-profile combs, allowing the cables to lie flat within the case, minimizing bulk and improving airflow.

In addition to its reimagined cable interface, CORSAIR integrated a dedicated iCUE LINK System Hub on the PSU’s rear. This hub can connect up to 24 iCUE LINK devices, enabling seamless synchronization and management of coolers, fans, and RGB lighting through CORSAIR’s iCUE software suite. Since the HXi SHIFT PSUs themselves are iCUE-compatible, users can easily monitor system metrics such as power draw, efficiency, and temperature in real time from a single interface.

Performance-wise, the HXi SHIFT series carries a Cybenetics Platinum certification, ensuring over 90% efficiency at typical loads and maintaining nearly 90% efficiency even at full power. The PSU also focuses on quiet operation, producing a maximum of 35 dBA noise at full load, according to CORSAIR’s internal testing.

The HXi SHIFT series comes in three power options tailored to enthusiasts and professional builders:

  • 1000W – $339

  • 1200W – $399

  • 1500W – $459

All models are now available globally through authorized retailers and distributors, including Amazon, and come backed by CORSAIR’s 10-year warranty, reaffirming the brand’s reputation for long-term reliability and high-end performance.

What do you think of CORSAIR’s side-connector design on the HXi SHIFT PSUs? Would you consider it for your next build?
