Blue Protocol: Star Resonance Launches This October, Pre-Registration for Mobile Now Open
Publisher A Plus and developer Shanghai Bokura Network Technology have officially announced that Blue Protocol: Star Resonance will launch in October 2025 on PC, iOS, and Android. Alongside the release window reveal, pre-registration for mobile players has gone live, while PC players can jump into a closed beta test starting today on Steam.
Players interested in signing up can visit the official Star Resonance website for mobile pre-registration. PC players can access the beta directly on Steam. A Plus confirmed that beta codes will be distributed gradually depending on server capacity, giving more players a chance to join after the initial wave.
Star Resonance marks a significant revival for the Blue Protocol franchise. The original game, launched in Japan in 2023, was shut down just a year later, and its planned global release was cancelled. The servers officially went offline in January 2025, with the closure attributed to a dwindling player base.
With Star Resonance, A Plus and Bokura are giving the franchise a second chance, aiming to recapture the attention of MMORPG fans with a new approach across both PC and mobile platforms.
Beyond the closed beta, fans will also have a chance to try Blue Protocol: Star Resonance in person. The game will feature a playable demo at Anime NYC 2025, allowing attendees to get an early look at the reimagined MMORPG ahead of its global release.
While many fans were disappointed by the original game’s abrupt end, the announcement of Star Resonance suggests a renewed commitment to expanding the world of Blue Protocol. With cross-platform support, new features, and a more aggressive global rollout, October 2025 could be the redemption arc the franchise needs.
Are you planning to pre-register for the mobile release, or will you be diving into the PC beta to get a first look at Star Resonance?
