ASUS B850M AYW Gaming OC Motherboard Launched: Dual-DIMM OC Design With Up To 10,400 MT/s Support & Under $200
ASUS has officially launched its long-teased B850M AYW Gaming OC WIFI7 W motherboard, a mainstream overclocking-oriented solution that combines affordability, aesthetics, and raw performance. The product page is now live on ASUS’s official site: ASUS B850M AYW Gaming OC.
Designed for enthusiasts, the B850M AYW Gaming OC brings an mATX form factor with dedicated overclocking features, placing it in direct competition with MSI’s B850MPOWER and Gigabyte’s upcoming B850M Force.
The board boasts a 12+2+1 phase VRM design, powered by dual 8-pin CPU connectors and cooled under dedicated heatsinks. Expansion support includes:
1x PCIe 5.0 x16 slot with Q-Release
1x PCIe 4.0 x4 slot
3x M.2 slots (1x Gen5x4, 2x Gen4x4)

A defining feature of this board is its dual-DIMM DDR5 design, optimized for higher signal integrity. While ASUS officially lists support for 9600+ MT/s, the company has already showcased over 10,400 MT/s OC speeds through promotional materials and social posts.
The motherboard integrates a dedicated clock generator, enabling precise BLCK tuning. Overclockers can take advantage of onboard BLCK +/- buttons and a DEBUG LED for fine-tuning.
The all-white design makes the B850M AYW Gaming OC stand out as the only OC-focused mATX board with this finish. The rear I/O includes:
1x DP port
1x HDMI port
4x USB 5 Gbps Type-A
3x USB 10 Gbps Type-A
2x USB 2.0 Type-A
1x USB 20 Gbps Type-C
Wi-Fi 7 antennas
2.5GbE LAN port
Clear CMOS & BIOS Flashback buttons
3x audio jacks
Inside the chassis, users get 1x USB 10 Gbps Type-C, 2x USB 5 Gbps, 4x USB 2.0, 2x SATA III, plus six fan headers and three ARGB Gen2 headers for cooling and lighting.
ASUS is pricing the B850M AYW Gaming OC between 1300–1399 RMB (~$180–$195 USD), making it one of the most affordable OC-focused B850M boards. In comparison, MSI’s B850MPOWER retails at $279. The catch, however, is availability - this board will primarily target the Asia-Pacific market, and availability in US/EU regions may remain limited.
With its aggressive pricing, dedicated overclocking features, and striking aesthetics, ASUS has positioned the B850M AYW Gaming OC as a highly competitive option for budget-conscious enthusiasts who want extreme DDR5 performance without stretching past the $200 mark.
What do you think of ASUS’s approach with the B850M AYW Gaming OC - could this be the new go-to choice for budget overclockers, or will limited regional availability hold it back?
